Abstract: An intensive quenching (IQ) apparatus and method of quenching heated parts is provided. The IQ apparatus includes a chute for placing parts into a tank including liquid quenchant. The parts fall through the quenchant in the chute and are received by a conveyor belt. The parts are then transported on the conveyor through an inner channel of a conduit. An agitation rate of the quenchant in the inner channel is increased by an agitator.

Abstract: A conveyor belt sanding assembly includes a panel is comprised of a rigid material. A pair of clips is each coupled to the panel and each of the clips releasably engages a paddle of a mail sorting machine thereby mounting the panel to the paddle. A sheet of sand paper is bonded to the panel and the sheet of sand paper is positioned on an opposing surface of the panel with respect to the clips. In this way the sheet of sand paper is directed toward the conveyor belt of the mail sorting machine. The sand paper abrades the conveyor belt when the paddle is moved against the conveyor belt to enhance the capacity of the conveyor belt to frictionally engage mail that is being sorted by the mail sorting machine.

Abstract: A fabric belt for producing a corrugated cardboard web in a corrugated cardboard machine is joined together at the two ends thereof to produce an endless belt. An outer paper side facing the corrugated cardboard web and an inner load side assigned to the drive are formed. Connecting pieces to connect the belt ends have in each case at one end transversely with respect to the belt clips lying next to one another at a spacing, and are fixed at an opposite end with a connection section at the associated belt end. In the longitudinal direction of the belt, the clips of one connecting piece interact in a force-transmitting manner with the clips of the other connecting piece. The connection section of a connecting piece is held in a receiving gap of the belt that, starting from the belt end, extends between the paper side and the load side.
