摘要: An apparatus for detecting a cross-bore between a first pipe and a second pipe that are installed underground includes a support and an electronic circuit assembly. The support is movable through the first pipe. The electronic circuit assembly is mounted to the support to move through the first pipe with the support. The electronic circuit assembly includes a controller and a capacitance sensor. The capacitance sensor outputs a capacitance value based on an interaction of an electric field generated by the capacitance sensor with an environment of the first pipe. The capacitance sensor outputs to the controller a given capacitance value when the capacitance sensor is at a location where the environment of the first pipe is a cross-bore intersection with the second pipe. The controller generates an indicator indicative of a presence of a cross-bore upon the capacitance sensor outputting the given capacitance value.

摘要: The shape and size of a borehole may be characterized downhole, using measurements of the borehole shape in conjunction with a catalog of shapes against which the measured shape is matched. A unique identifier for the measured borehole shape, and optionally a size parameter, may be transmitted to a surface facility, generally saving bandwidth compared with the transmission of the raw measured borehole-shape data. Alternatively or additionally, downhole measurements may be adjusted based on the measured shape. Additional methods, apparatus, and systems are disclosed.

The elongated rods extend from beneath the main spring platform through the pressure lock plate, the pressure base, and the end plate. Each elongated rod is surrounded by a rod spring and a collar. The rod spring extends from the bottom of the pressure base to the collar. The pressure lock plate moves laterally when the lever pivots from a locked to an unlocked position, thereby aligning the plurality of holes in the pressure lock plate with the plurality of holes in the pressure base and enabling the elongated rods to move longitudinally within the tool.

摘要: Disclosed is a device for detecting wall abrasion of a solid-filling feeding well and a detection method thereof. The device comprises a well wall abrasion detector, a horizontal displacement meter, a vertical displacement monitor, and a limit guide rod. One end of the limit guide rod is connected to the well wall abrasion detector. The signal output terminal of the well wall abrasion detector is connected to the signal input terminal of the horizontal displacement meter, and the other end of the limit guide rod passes through the vertical displacement monitor for slidable setting. This disclosure mainly utilizes a resistance strain displacement sensor to detect the abrasion and deformation degree of the well wall, determines the position of damages with the vertical displacement monitor, and draws wall abrasion curves by using the obtained data. The device provided is easy to use, has low cost, has high reliability, and can effectively detect the wall abrasion condition of a solid-filling feeding well, thereby providing a basis for ensuring the working efficiency of the feeding well.

The system further comprises a casing evaluation module comprising a processor and memory and communicably coupled to the one or more electromagnetic coils. The casing evaluation module is operable to determine whether defect exists in at least one of the plurality of casings using a first response signal received from the one or more electromagnetic coils and elemental defect information, the elemental defect information comprising a plurality of combinations of small defect information.
