摘要: A motorized foldable scooter has a frame, at least a front and rear wheel connected to the frame, a seat supported by the frame, a steering arrangement for the front wheel, and an electric motor, driving the rear wheel through a transmission. The frame has at least front and rear frame parts movably connected through a substantially vertical rotary axis to move the frame parts between an extended position of use and a collapsed resting position. The steering arrangement and the seat, and/or the front and rear frame parts are shaped such with respect to each other and the rotary axis that they at least partly nest in lateral direction of the scooter when the frame parts are in the collapsed resting position.

摘要: Techniques are provided to automatically configure packet based network services over Dense Wavelength Division Multiplex (DWDM) network communication links. An optical wavelength is detected at an optical interface of a network device configured to send traffic between a packet switched network and an optical network. A message is sent to an optical control plane comprising information configured to request optical configuration information for the optical wavelength. A response to the message is received comprising the optical configuration information and the wavelength is activated at the optical interface using the optical configuration information. A frame is received over the wavelength that is formatted according to an optical protocol. Packet switched network information is extracting from an overhead portion of the frame that is configured to identify network parameters for configuring a packet switched network link and the associated routing. The packet switched network link is configured using the network parameters.

摘要: The external surface of a tubular body such as well casing is coated with a substance that, upon exposure to cement, is unstable and degrades. After installation in a subterranean well and subsequent cementation, the coating degrades and forms a gap between the external surface of the tubular body and the cement sheath. Forming the gap is useful for obtaining optimal stimulation during the hydraulic fracturing of unconventional shale-gas formations.

摘要: A fire and explosion suppression system comprises a source (5) of high pressure water which is fed to a misting nozzle (13) at one input of a mixing unit (6), and a source (14) of high pressure inert gas, such as nitrogen, which is fed along a pipe (20) to another input of the mixing unit (6). Inside the mixing unit (6), water mist, in the form of an atomized mist of very small droplet size is mixed with the pressurized gas and exits the mixing unit (6) at high pressure and high velocity along a pipe (22) and is thence discharged through spreaders (26, 28). The source (5) of the water is pressurized by a feed (30) from the source of pressurized inert gas. The mass flow rate of the water will therefore reduce as the pressure of the gas decays. This tends to maintain the ratio of the mass flow rate of the water to the mass flow rate of the gas constant. This is found to produce and maintain an advantageous distribution of droplet size in the discharged unit. A control unit (10) adjusts a metering valve (7) in dependence on the mass flow rate or the pressure of the gas in order to adjust the ratio as necessary to maintain its value constant.
