    摘要: A power transmission system for a working machine, wherein drive power is transmitted from an engine to a work-tool holding drive shaft via a reduction mechanism is provided. The reduction mechanism includes an input shaft having a first gear, and an output shaft having a second gear. The second gear has a gear portion and a cylindrical boss segment press fitted thereto, forming a torque limiter. As a result, the reduction mechanism, which has the torque limiter, has a simplified structure, enabling easy assemblage.

    摘要: The invention is concerned with the rapid release of frictional force which is acting to reduce relative movement between contacting surfaces, the normal actuating means being unaffected. One application is in an anti-lock braking system in vehicles, particularly motorcycles. A sensor monitors wheel angular velocity and when this falls below a predetermined value the sensor causes ultrasonic vibrations to be applied to brake pads effectively reducing friction without release of brake operating pressure to enable resumption of normal rotation.The invention can also be applied to friction clutches operating in either rotary or linear senses to cause release when overloading, overspeed, etc. occurs.

    摘要: An inexpensive torque transmission device is provided which is applicable as either a brake or a clutch and comprises a conical friction element axially slidable between two relatively rotatable members. The element has a friction surface engageable with one of the members and a toroidal tension spring is tensioned between its conical face and the other of the members to exert a yieldable force urging the element into frictional engagement with the first member thereby transmitting a predetermined torque between the two members. The spring also reduces any tendency for the friction element to rotate relative to the second member.
