Abstract:
A method, non-transitory computer readable medium and apparatus for generating a multi-layer correlation mark key are disclosed. For example, the method includes determining a first pattern of a first layer of a multi-layer correlation mark, determining a second pattern of a second layer of the multi-layer correlation mark and printing a first key that corresponds to the first pattern and a second key that corresponds to the second pattern on a clear print medium to generate the multi-layer correlation mark key, wherein the multi-layer correlation mark key is overlaid on the multi-layer correlation mark to simultaneously decipher the first layer and the second layer of the multi-layer correlation mark.
Abstract:
Video data with enhanced dynamic range are color graded for a first and a second reference display with different dynamic range characteristics to generate a first color-graded output, a second color graded output, and associated first and second sets of metadata. The first color-graded output and the two sets of metadata are transmitted from an encoder to a decoder to be displayed on a target display which may be different than the second reference display. At the receiver, a decoder interpolates between the first and second set of metadata to generate a third set of metadata which drives the display management process for displaying the received video data onto the target display. The second set of metadata of metadata may be represented as delta metadata values from the first set of metadata values.
Abstract:
There is provided a printing apparatus for conveying a print medium and performing printing on the conveyed print medium, the printing apparatus including a print data acquisition unit configured to acquire print data in which digital watermark information is added to image data, the digital watermark information being used to identify a position of an image of the image data on a print medium, a printing unit configured to print an image on a print medium based on the print data, a conveyance information acquisition unit configured to acquire information relating to conveyance of a print medium, based on information on the position of the image that is obtained by detection of digital watermark information in an image read by a reading unit, and a print control unit configured to control printing by the printing unit, based on the acquired information relating to conveyance.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus for causing an image forming apparatus to perform printing, the image forming apparatus being able to perform calibration in order to correct an output color to a target color indicated by target information, includes a storing unit configured to, when printing processing is executed for a print job by the image forming apparatus, store the target information in association with the print job.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are disclosed which are capable of efficiently performing color management of a variable gloss color printing system. The methods and systems select at least one set of the linear color values corresponding to the color profile for the printing device (at the nominal gloss condition). The linear color values selected comprise those obtained from color values corresponding to each node of the color profile at the nominal gloss condition. In a colorimetric embodiment, the linear color values can comprise: tristimulus values XYZ; red, green, blue (RGB); or luminance component Y, and two chromatic components C1 and C2 (YCC). In a reflectance embodiment, the linear color values comprise reflectance spectra. This exemplary method adds an offset term to each of the linear color values to produce a corresponding set of modified linear color values, and generates a color profile for the printing device at the desired gloss condition based on the modified linear color values.
Abstract:
To provide an image processing system, an image processing apparatus, and an image processing method capable of realizing the optimum color matching between apparatuses according to various situations (the use case or the type of image) in printing one job in a plurality of image forming apparatuses. In the present invention, MFP101 acquires a color reproduction range for each of MFP102 and LBP103 (Step S903), and computes logical AND of the plurality of acquired color reproduction ranges (Step S904). Next, in accordance with the use case and the attribute of an image, MFP101 determines whether the color reproduction range in printing the image is set to the logical AND of the color reproduction ranges or to an expanded area of the logical AND of the color reproduction ranges (steps S905 to S908). Then, MFP101 adds the determined color reproduction range to the image and transmits this to MFP102, LBP103 (S909).

Abstract:
A method for controlling a display and a display system using the same are disclosed. The method for controlling a display includes selecting one of a plurality of color space information stored at a monitor as color space information of a monitor, transmitting the selected color space information to a computer, selecting a profile corresponding to the transmitted color space information from among profiles stored at the computer, and applying the selected profile to an operating system (OS) of the computer. The method and system search a color profile according to a color space adjustment, and automatically register the searched color space to the OS. Therefore, errors occurred when the color is reproduced is minimized, and user convenience is maximized.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a color print section configured to make a color printing and a changing section configured to, when color data is printed by the color printer section, allow changing to a subtractive color printing or not according to attribute information.
Abstract:
An automated method for proofing a page for color discriminability problems includes converting a first color of a first object appearing on the page and a second color of a second object appearing on the page to coordinates of a color naming system. The method includes identifying a first color name of the first color and a second color name of the second color based on the coordinates. The method includes identifying whether the first color and the second color are discriminable based on the first color name and the second color name.
