Abstract:
A sprayer is disclosed that may be attached to a garden hose for cleaning exterior surfaces such as windows. By turning a flow selector in a single direction tap water from the hose first flows through the sprayer to rinse the surface to be cleaned. The flow selector can then be set to spray a mixture of cleaner (e.g., one or more surfactants) and surface modifier (e.g., one or more polymers) and water on the surface. The flow selector can then be set to an off position to allow for scrubbing of the surface with a scrubbing tool. The flow selector can then be set to rinse the surface with untreated water, and the flow selector can be turned further to rinse the surface with filtered tap water produced by a filter in the sprayer. Also disclosed are unitary cartridges providing a combined replacement of the cleaning surfactant and a filtering system for deionizing the water.

A new fluid temperature control for a heated fluid cleaner with multiple outlets for maintaining the temperature of the discharge fluid when multiple outlets of the heated fluid cleaner are opened. The inventive device includes a fluid reservoir for containing a supply of fluid, at least one pump for suctioning fluid from the fluid reservoir. A heater is also in fluid communication with the pump for heating a flow of fluid received therefrom. The heater preferably comprises a combustible fuel heater and has a fuel conduit fluidly connecting the heater to a fuel reservoir. An outlet conduit is fluidly connected to the heater for receiving heated fluid therefrom. The outlet conduit has a plurality of outlets for discharging fluid therefrom. A heater control device is provided for controlling the temperature of the fluid exiting the heater such that it is maintained at a constant predetermined temperature when more than one outlet is opened.

A comprehesive product dispensing system including a product/carrier dispensing system. The product carrier dispensing system comprising a carrier dispensing system and a product dispensing system. The product dispensing system including a product dispensing device and a product dispensing control system. The product dispensing control system includes a flowmeter and a controller. The controller regulates the injection rate of product injected into the carrier and the flowmeter provides feedback to the controller for regulating the injection rate of product. Product is dispensed from product containers which may be filled via a closed transfer delivery system for safe product handling and transfer.
Abstract:
The shower spa fixture is mounted between an inlet pipe and a shower head and includes a container for mixing a stream of water with additives. A portion of the stream of water passing from the inlet pipe to the shower head is diverted into the container. The container includes a replaceable cartridge which has a first additive in a first chamber and a second additive in a second chamber. The diverted stream of water mixes with the first additive in the first chamber, passes through a screen to the second chamber, and mixes with the second additive in the second chamber. The diverted stream containing additives is then returned to the main stream of water which exits the shower head. The amount of additives added to the main stream of water is controlled by a control valve. The present invention provides an improvement over known arrangements by providing two additives which are kept separate from one another preventing a chemical reaction between the additives which would cause a loss of potency.

An atomizer mechanism includes a pulse-jet engine for atomizing chemicals, an air-fuel mixture supply unit, and an engine starter. The air-fuel mixture supply unit includes a precombustion chamber that communicates with the combustion chamber, a collecting valve, and a carburetor for supplying atomized fuel to the precombustion chamber through the valve. The engine starter includes a compressed air inflow passage for carrying compressed air into the precombustion chamber and toward the valve, without passing through the valve. The engine starter also includes a manual pump which pressurizes fuel and a fuel supply passage. The fuel supply passage is connected to the compressed air inflow passage upstream of the precombustion chamber. The fuel is thereby supplied to the compressed air inflow passage, where it is atomized and directed into the precombusion chamber for ignition to start the engine.

A disposable spray dispensing assembly for liquid materials includes a container that comprises an aerosol can, and a spray head initially detached from the container. A cap is connected to the container and includes a central recess extending into the chamber and presenting a hole. A tube within the chamber is connected to a cylindrical wall surrounding the recess. The cap is non-releasably connected to the container and hinders refilling of the chamber in order to reduce the likelihood that the chamber might contain a material different than the contents indicated on the container's label.
Abstract:
An atomizing nozzle particularly suited for your use in compact combustion chambers. Successful combustion of liquid fuels having generally high viscosity and widely varying properties such as distillation temperatures, distillation rates and impurities, including "heavy" and waste oil. Improved combustion is accomplished through the use of viscosity control and improved fuel atomization. Use of a nozzle utilizing "shearing" of the fuel by an atomizing fluid stream which intersects the fuel at approximately right angles. Recombination of liquid fuel particles is prevented by the use of a controlled "exit orifice" in the burner nozzle. The nozzle also features continuous circulation of the fuel in the nozzle body which establishes orientation of impurities contained in the fuel relative to the exit orifice so that they are expelled through the orifice. Combustion of conventional distillate fuel oil such as API No. 1 and 2 is also provided.

A closed agricultural chemical batching, measuring and mixing system is disclosed for mounting to a sprayer tending truck. The system includes a measuring tank on which a partial vacuum is drawn by opening a connection to the intake manifold of the internal combustion engine of the truck. The measuring tank is in turn communicated to at least one manifold having numerous valve control inlets, all communicated to discrete agricultural chemical containers which can include highly toxic liquid chemicals. At the inlet remote from the mixing tank, the manifold communicates to a supply of surfactant. Preselected amounts of the liquid chemicals are sequentially drawn by the partial vacuum through the valve controlled manifold and to the measuring tank in which they are accumulated. The surfactant is then drawn through the manifold and into the measuring tank to flush the system. As the chemicals and surfactant are drawn into the measuring tank, the fumes created by the chemicals in the measuring tank are drawn into the intake manifold of the engine and rendered substantially nontoxic. After mixing of the liquid chemicals and surfactant in the measuring tank, the vacuum is broken and the batch is dumped through a dump valve at the bottom of the tank. Simultaneously, a stream of water is discharged from a water storage tank on the tending truck through a conduit to a spray tank on a tractor spraying rig. The measured batch is drawn into the stream of water at less than atmospheric pressure through an induction manifold interposed in the water conduit and diluted by the water. Provision is made to introduce wetable powders into the stream of water in addition to the liquid agricultural chemicals. Thus, a closed mixing system is provided for both liquid and powdered agricultural chemicals.

A shower head adapted to mix and dispense a detergent and water is disclosed. A rotational shaft with impeller blades mounted on one end and a rotary brush engaging a detergent bar on the other end is rotated in a shower head when water under pressure flowing through the shower head impinges on the blades. Means are employed to keep the rotary brush in contact with the detergent bar when the detergent bar is being consumed during use. Means for diverting water toward or away from the impeller blades are also provided so that a bather may adjust the shower head during use to provide water or a mixture of water and a detergent.

Apparatus for controlling lubrication of compressed air tools includes a supply container of lubricating liquid and an air flow pipe extending through the container for connection with a source of compressed air. A control device having both liquid and air flow control valves therein is mounted adjacent to the container and a flow throttler in the form of an aperture or venturi disposed in the air flow pipe. Upstream of the flow throttler, a flow line diverts a portion of the air flow through the control device, past the air flow control valve therein, and then back into the container to apply a pressure against the liquid therein. A liquid supply pipe extends from the liquid in the container to the control device and as the air pressure is applied against the liquid, such pressure causes the liquid to flow through the supply pipe and into the control device, past a liquid flow control valve therein, and then back through a flow line which connects to the air flow pipe downstream of the flow throttler. The liquid passing through the downstream flow line thus mixes with the air passing through the throttler of the air flow pipe. Both the air flow control valve and the liquid flow control valve are manually adjustable.
