Abstract:
A nestable multiple compartment tray (10) for faux painting material and applicators is provided. The tray (10) comprises a rigid one-piece monolithic housing which comprises a bottom wall structure (11) presenting an outer perimeter defined by a plurality of spaced bottom wall segments (12) and a sidewall (14). The tray (10) is further comprised of a series of first divider walls (22 and 24) and at least one second divider wall (26). The sidewall (14) has a plurality of sidewall segments (15) which present front (16), rear (18), and opposing side (20) sections. The divider walls (22, 24, 26) cooperate with the sidewall segments (15) and bottom wall segments (12) to present individual fore (28) and aft (30) compartments. The fore compartments (28) are suited for receiving faux painting applicators and the aft compartments (30) are suited for receiving paint. Each divider wall (22, 24, 26) is constructed with at least partially spaced wall portions (32) which present corresponding cavities (34) therebetween. These wall portions (32) and cavities (34) are configured and oriented to permit interleaving of the divider walls (22, 24, 26) of a plurality of trays in nested stacked relationship.
Abstract:
A resin applicator comprises a roller mounted on a shank connected to a handgrip, and means for feeding the resin to the roller under the action of a prime mover. A normally open air bleed switch is positioned so that it is accessible to a thumb or finger of a hand holding the handgrip and is operable to control operation of the prime mover.
Abstract:
A manufacturing process of Christmas tree decorations where glass half-products are first blown to required dimensions and shapes, including the process stem. This glass half-product is fixed into the rack and placed into the metal-coating device where, under vacuum conditions, a thin (1 to 7 microns) layer of metals and/or their alloys is coated on its surface by vacuum plating or vacuum powder coating processes. The metal-coated surfaces created this way may be finished in various colors using clear and color varnishes either gloss or matt. The glass half-products for Christmas tree decorations may be provided with shading in the place of intended decor before the half-product is put into the vacuum metal-coating device. After the shading elements are removed, clear non-coated spots are created on the decoration surfaces. The rack accommodating the glass half-products of decorations is for their placement into the metal-coating device when above methods are performed.
Abstract:
A paint apparatus kit is disclosed having a painting application device that includes a paint roller and a paint apparatus. The paint apparatus includes a plurality of walls and a lower surface contiguous with the walls forming an open box. Also included is at least one divider disposed within the walls forming a plurality of individual trays. Further, the paint apparatus includes a paint unloading section integrally formed with the lower surface, the paint unloading section including at least one channel for returning excess paint in the direction of gravity, and a paint distribution section integrally formed with the lower surface, the paint distribution section separate from the paint unloading section and including a plurality of projections extending from the lower surface for distributing paint on the painting application device. The paint apparatus kit also may contain additional paint application devices, practice paper, and instructional materials.
Abstract:
An article of manufacture for dispensing a liquid adhesive includes an applicator body, a liquid adhesive contained within the applicator body, a porous applicator tip attached to the applicator body and in a non-contacting relationship with the liquid adhesive, and a polymerization initiator or rate modifier loaded in or on the applicator tip, wherein the polymerization initiator or rate modifier is selected from quaternary ammonium salts and tertiary amines. The liquid adhesive can also include a phase transfer catalyst.
Abstract:
A device for packaging and applying a substance, in particular a cosmetic or a care product, the device comprising a receptacle for containing the substance, said receptacle being provided at the top with an applicator that is permeable to the substance and that has an inside face fed with the substance coming from the receptacle. In the vicinity of the bottom face of the applicator, the device comprises an element that forms an intermediate reservoir that is in permanent communication with the receptacle and that is suitable for retaining a certain quantity of the substance when the device is turned upside-down from a head-up position and is then returned to the head-up position, said intermediate reservoir-forming element also being arranged to enable the substance retained in this way to feed the applicator, at least in certain conditions of use of the device.
Abstract:
A flexible and disposable paint tray liner has a resilient band extending the entire circumference of the liner. The liner is placed over the side walls of the paint tray, so that the resilient band removably engages the side walls of the paint tray. Once the liner is engaged to the paint tray, the paint is then placed over the liner. When painting is complete, the user need only pull the liner over the top of the side walls. In another embodiment of the invention, the liner has tape with a cover strip affixed at the interior side of the liner. The liner is placed over the paint tray, so that the liner extends over the side walls of the paint tray with the tape facing the paint tray. The cover strip is then removed from the tape to expose the adhesive side of the tape. The tape is then pressed against the outer side wall of the paint tray to removably engage the side wall of the paint tray. Once painting is complete, the user can easily pull the tape apart from the paint try by sliding a finger under the liner.
Abstract:
A roller hub that is designed to fit standard roller frames. The paint loading surface of the hub has two surfaces that are oriented on a generally 90-degree angle. The intersection of the surfaces is adapted to allow a channel for excess paint to flow when the roller is loaded and pressed into operation in a comer. A removable, reusable cover that slips over the hub is held in place by material with a high degree of elasticity. The length or thickness of the nap on the edges of the cover can be shorter than the length or thickness of the nap in the middle, thereby allowing more paint to be loaded in the area of the roller where it is most needed. The roller cover is made from lambs wool or similar synthetic fiber, and the back of the cover is a porous synthetic material allowing for an easier cleaning process than other rollers. An elongated paint grid that matches the shape of the roller hub is designed to fit into a standard paint bucket, and allows a painter to load the roller cover with the correct amount of paint.
Abstract:
An apparatus for dispensing paint comprises a container arranged to contain paint, the container has an open top end of the container providing access to the paint by a user, an enclosed bottom end on the container and a front inner side of the container. The front inner side has a plurality of raised protrusions for rolling off excess paint of a paint roller. A mounting arrangement is located at the top end on a back side of the container for supporting the container in a raised position on a vertical structure. A supporting arrangement is located at the bottom end for supporting the container such that the container remains in a generally vertical position. The mounting arrangement is arranged such that the raised protrusions on the front inner side of the container face towards the user on the vertical structure.
