摘要： A worktable of a workpiece finishing machine comprises a first worktable and a second worktable. The first worktable has a first joining portion. The second worktable has a second joining portion which is joined with the first joining portion to enable the second worktable to slide back and forth along a predetermined direction provided by the first joining portion, thereby resulting in a change in the area formed between the first worktable and the second worktable for placing a workpiece to be finished by the workpiece finishing machine. The worktable further comprises a locating device formed of an arresting member with a first friction portion, and an actuating mechanism which is mounted on the second worktable and is connected with the arresting member. The arresting member is actuated to move back and forth between a first position and a second position, so as to enable the arresting member to press against the first worktable to attain the effect of locating the second worktable.

As the cutting base does not include the locator pins, the cutting step can be performed without saw scrap collecting on the locator pins. A system for performing the method includes the nest and the prestage alignment base having the locator pins configured to engage the locator openings on the substrate. The system also includes the sawing base which includes pedestals with vacuum conduits for holding the substrate stationary on the nest for sawing. The system also includes the saws, and a vacuum source in flow communication with the vacuum conduit and pedestals on the sawing base.

摘要： A workpiece support accessory in the form of a sloping extension panel is coupled for pivotal and horizontal displacement relative to a table-mounted power saw for supporting oversized stock. When an oversized piece of stock is cut, the extension panel prevents the workpiece from inadvertently falling or twisting. A horizontal roller at the delivery end of the workpiece support accessory reduces the friction between the oversized stock and work surface allowing for easy movement during the saw operation. The operator can adjust the horizontal placement of the workpiece support accessory, the slope angle of the extended support surface, the elevation of the horizontal roller and the separation between the horizontal roller and the delivery end of the extension panel.
