摘要: A silicon substrate 12 has a main face in a (100) plane, whereby a fracture 17 generated from a molten processed region 13 acting as a start point extends in a cleavage direction of the silicon substrate 12 (a direction orthogonal to the main face of the silicon substrate 12). Here, a rear face 1b of an object to be processed 1A and a front face 10a of an object to be processed for separation 10A are bonded to each other by anode bonding, whereby the fracture 17 reaches a front face 1a of the object 1A continuously without substantially changing its direction. When generating a stress in the object for separation 10A, the fracture 17 has reached a rear face 10b of the object for separation 10A and thus easily extends toward the object 1A.

摘要: A self-anchoring tissue lifting device for use with facial cosmetic reconstructive surgery includes an implant and a removable foil cover disposed on the implant. The implant includes an elongated mesh strip having a distal end on which is situated a tissue anchoring fleece material. Opposite lateral edges of the mesh material are preferably laser cut during the manufacturing process of the implant to provide a plurality of tissue engaging prickles along the longitudinal length of the implant. For treating the mid face and jowl, a stab incision is made within the hairline of the temple region of the patient and the device is applied from the temporal area to the peak of the ipsilateral cheek to capture the malar fat pad to correct midface abnormalities or the ptotic tissue causing the jowl.

摘要: A system and method for making and using composite material components is disclosed. Composite material components are preferably constructed in patterns where every part needed for a given filler is included in a single series pattern. Using these series patterns, the material can be cut, folded and the parts created in a manner such that the individual parts forming a single filler are releasably attached to one another, thus resulting in effective and efficient organization of these parts. The filler panels can then be arranged into a folding stack of offset edges. Two shapes are preferably used with subtle differences between each at the fold area. Different patterns can be used to have the first two panels in the series positioned at 0 degrees, followed by two panels positioned at 45 degrees, and then alternating the angle positions throughout the pattern. The pattern preferably incorporates triangular portions or tabs between each set of panels in the series to help in establishing a fold line. These tabs forming part of the composite material component system are then discarded after the filler panels are created.
