摘要： A tubular wheel type key lock operable by a key, comprising a lock case, a plurality of peripherally gated tumbler wheels supported for rotation about a common axis. Each tumbler wheel include center hub portions and rim portions encircling the hub portions. Supporting formations are interposed between successive adjacent pairs of tumbler wheels defining spacers to rotatably support the tumbler wheels about a common center axis. A control cam mechanism is rotatable by a key and has means to link with a fence lever for retracting a bolt at a predetermined position of the tumbler wheels.

摘要： A cylinder lock which includes plate tumblers in a lock cylinder and a locking channel arranged in a lock casing wherein, when the key is pulled out (locked position of the lock), spring-loaded plate tumblers engage with their locking ends into the locking channel up to an extension length determined by locking stops. The lock casing is provided with an escape channel diametrically opposed to the locking channel for enabling a free resetting motion of the plate tumblers with their counter ends during an insertion of the key. The plate tumblers have, in their key cutouts, tumbler edges arranged at levels corresponding with an associated key cutout depth and, with a key being inserted (free position of the lock), can be reset into the lock cylinder. Stops are provided for limiting the resetting motion of the individual plate tumblers in the escape channel at insertion depths and a varying arrangement of the blocking stops is made in dependence upon a height of the respective tumbler edge.

摘要： An axial tumbler type lock having a split cylinder within a stationary lock casing contains a set of regular spring-urged split tumblers which bridge the shear line to render the lock active and which are depressed to the shear line by a tubular key to allow turning of the lock to a release position. A modified split tumbler with a reduced forward pin extension also bridges the shear line of the lock and responds only to a special key having a forward pin extension for depressing the special split tumbler to the shear line. Additionally, the lock possesses one or more hidden tumblers in the non-rotational lock cylinder section which are spring-urged and have the capability of moving forwardly into the pocket for the special tumbler or into the pockets of any of the regular tumblers if the proper key is not employed to depress the special tumbler to the shear line, or if the rotational section of the lock cylinder is somehow turned without the proper key in place. Simplicity of construction and adaptability of the invention to a well-known "Ace" lock are featured.

摘要： A cylinder lock is disclosed having tumbler pins comprising a plurality of interlocking segments, the interfaces of adjacent pairs of segments being such that the adjacent segments may be placed in shear, locking, or passover orientations dependent upon their relative rotations. To change the combination of the service key, a master key is used to place each pair of adjacent pin segments in the shear orientation. A service key having the desired new combination is then used to operate the lock and the adjacent pin segment pairs are selectively placed in the locking or passover orientations depending upon the requirements of the new combination.

摘要： A radially arranged tumbler type lock having secondary locking means brought into operation upon an attempt to pick the lock without a key. The rotating parts of the lock include a main shaft engageable at an outer end by a key, a first tumblercarrying plug element fixed to said shaft, a second tumblercarrying plug element fixed relative to an outer housing, and a third plug element fixed to said shaft and defining a circular groove in which the inner ends of tumblers may move when the tumblers are properly aligned. Arcuate slots transversely communicate with said groove and permit entry of the inner ends of said tumblers therethrough. However, if an attempt is made to pick the lock by progressively overcoming individual tumblers, rotation of the main shaft through a small increment made possible by the overcoming of the first tumbler serves to misalign the remaining arcuate slots with respect to the inner ends of the remaining tumblers, and prevents subsequent aligning movement thereof.

摘要： A system for master keying axial pin tumbler locks which includes providing at least certain of the combination pins with at least two different axially spaced surfaces facing the keyway for cooperating with differently shaped notches in the end of a key advanced through the keyway. In its preferred form, the master keying combination pins are stepped so as to form a cylindrical head portion of relatively small diameter and a base portion of a larger diameter and the keys include stepped notches that permit engagement with either the head portion or the base portion of said combination pin so as to permit two different keys to operate the same pin. The system described may be adaptable to grandmaster keying, great grandmaster keying, etc., as well as master keying.

摘要： A cylinder lock which comprises a key to be inserted into a key slot of a core and arranging tumblers with cavities provided with wide faces of the key. A housing has a flange projecting radially to the core. At least two rows of non-rotatable tumbler pins are arranged in the flange and sit set-off to each other due to a non-round cross-section and uniform bearing bore. One of the wide faces of the key slot is pointing in symmetric cross position towards the flange. The tumbler pins have a cylindrical jacket face, and the latter leads tangentially into two abutting planes at an edge pointing towards the longitudinal center plane of said flange, and one of said planes extending crosswise to the longitudinal direction of said flange and the other of said planes extending in the longitudinal direction of said flange.
