摘要: In an apparatus for creating an underground bore hole using high-pressure fluid within a steerable drill string to disturb and displace the subsoil, the improvement of the steering capability of the boring head by the inclusion of a percussive device to hammer the drill string forward after the desired steering of the boring head has take place to cause the boring head to fully engage the media being bored so that upon resumption of normal rotary drilling the boring head will proceed in the selected path.

摘要: The slider by means of which the drill is changed from rotary drilling to percussion drilling is made of plastic. It is formed as a single unit with end portions to be pushed to select a first position for the rotary drilling and a second position for percussion drilling, stop portions which abut against parts of the housing to stop the movement of the slider in one or the other direction, and elongated latching elements which have cam-like projections for engaging latching recesses in the housing thereby locking the slider in the first or second position. Deformation of a ball riding in an opening of the slider and acting as thrust bearing for the spindle during rotary drilling is prevented by a bearing plate inserted in a recess in the slider in the region of the opening receiving the ball, or a stationary steel plate mounted in a part of the housing along the path travelled by the slider.

摘要: Hand-operated augers are provided. A hand operated auger may include a powerhead, a handle frame, and a drill bit, the drill bit extending along and rotatable about a longitudinal axis. In some embodiments, the drill bit is selectively operable in a normal mode and a breaker mode. 摘要: The present invention discloses a drilling speed improvement device capable of producing both hydraulic pulse and impact vibration. The device has a pressure transfer rod that is arranged at an upper end of a lower joint. A spring chamber is formed among a drill body, the pressure transfer rod and the lower joint. A spring is arranged in the spring chamber. A communicating hole is formed in the drill body. A piston is arranged at an upper end of the pressure transfer rod. A pressure bearing head is arranged at an upper end of the piston. A pressure bearing base is arranged on the inner side of an upper joint. Drill bit impact loads and drilling fluid pulse jets are modulated by the longitudinal vibration energy of a drill stem, the rock breaking efficiency of a drill bit is improved by both dynamic and static loads, and harm caused by vibration of the drill stem is reduced.

摘要: Repeated percussive forces may be provided using various devices, systems, assemblies, and methods. Example rotary percussive devices may be used in a downhole environment, including within a drilling system that includes a percussive hammer drill bit. The rotary percussive device may include a rotational translator to convert drilling fluid pressure into a rotational force. An axial translator coupled to the rotational translator may convert the rotational force into an axial percussive force. This conversion may be done using magnets arranged in arrays of alternating polarities. The rotational translator may longitudinally overlap the axial translator. The rotational translator may include a rotational stator rotationally fixed within a bottomhole assembly. The rotational stator may include a shaft of a positive displacement motor.

A downhole apparatus includes a power mandrel having a first end connected to a power section member and a second end having a rotating cam surface; a rotating element engaging the rotating cam surface; an anvil sub attached to a workstring, with the anvil sub having a stationary cam surface configured to engage with the rotating cam surface. Rotation of the rotating cam surface moves the anvil sub and the workstring axially within the wellbore.

摘要: Method and apparatus for controlling rock drilling with a percussion device belonging to a rock drill to deliver stress waves to rock through a tool by pushing the tool against the rock by means of a feed motor and rotating simultaneously the tool by means of a rotation motor, whereby the maximum feed force is determined, pressure medium is supplied to the feed motor and to the rotation motor and the feed force is controlled according to the drilling conditions. The feed force is controlled on the basis of the feed speed and the rotation torque. The apparatus has a load control valve which controls the feed.
