摘要: The present application discloses a light pipe assembly having a light pipe with a proximal end, an opposing distal end, a length between the proximal end and the distal end, and a surface, the surface having an emitting portion and an overlay portion, where the light pipe is a material capable of transmitting light with a first refractive index; and a reflective secondary surface having a second refractive index and a width, the reflective secondary surface positioned adjacent the overlay portion of the light pipe, where the first refractive index is greater than the refractive index of air, and the second refractive index is greater than the first refractive index. In at least one embodiment, the reflective secondary surface is a non-metallic material capable of reflecting light. In at least one embodiment, the width of the reflective secondary surface varies along the length of the light pipe.

摘要: In a door mirror device for a vehicle, a projector protrudes out toward a lower side from a circuit board, and the projector projects a pattern onto a ground surface. Moreover, illuminating LEDs and guide bodies are fixed to a lower surface of the circuit board. Due to the illuminating LEDs generating lights and the guide bodies guiding these lights, the guide bodies irradiate the lights from lower ends, and the ground surface is illuminated. Here, the lower ends of the guide bodies are disposed further toward a lower side than the projector. Therefore, shadows, which are due to the projector, arising in lights that illuminate the ground surface can be suppressed.

摘要: A luminaire for a motor vehicle bodywork includes a light source configured to generate light beams, an optical waveguide configured to forward the light beams, and an optical sheet configured to emit the light beams. The optical sheet is arranged at an angle (γ), which is greater than 0°, with respect to the optical waveguide. A contact is formed between the optical waveguide and the optical sheet. The optical waveguide is configured to transfer the light beams onto the optical sheet. The light beams are guided into the optical sheet with the aid of at least one light guiding element via the contact.

摘要: A vehicle lamp includes a light source and a light guide body configured to guide light from the light source therein and emit the light toward a front side of the lamp. The light guide body includes a first rod-shaped light guide portion configured to guide light incident from an incident end surface, a second rod-shaped light guide portion configured to guide the incident light, and a plate-shaped light guide portion formed in an area between the first rod-shaped light guide portion and the second rod-shaped light guide portion. The plate-shaped light guide portion has an end side surface configured to totally reflect at least a portion of light, which travels in the plate-shaped light guide portion, toward the first rod-shaped light guide portion and/or the second rod-shaped light guide portion.

摘要: A light-transmitting member is arranged such that light emitted from a light guide enters. Light which enters an incident end surface is emitted from an emitting end surface. The light-transmitting member has a wide width portion and a narrow width portion. A width of the incident end surface of the wide width portion is larger than a width of the light guide in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the light guide. A width of the incident end surface of the narrow width portion is smaller than the width of the incident end surface of the wide width portion. The incident end surface has a curved surface convex toward the light guide at least in the wide width portion. A curvature of the incident end surface in the wide width portion is greater than a curvature of the incident end surface in the narrow width portion.

摘要: A motor vehicle lamp is presented, having an elongated waveguide, which is configured to conduct light in its interior, via total internal reflection occurring on border surfaces of the waveguide, along a guidance line of the waveguide, predefined by the external shape of the waveguide and running inside the waveguide, wherein the waveguide has a light exit surface. The lamp is distinguished in that it has a focusing element, which lies in the light path of the light emitted via the light exit surface, and extends thereby over the entire length of the light exit surface, and is configured to reduce the beam width of the light bundle in which the light emitted from the light exit surface is propagated.
