    摘要: A cloaking apparatus and method are disclosed herein. The cloaking apparatus for cloaking a target object using meta-material includes a compensation unit, and a cloaking cell. The compensation unit is disposed in a second space surrounding part of a first space including the target object, and is composed of a first meta-material having a predetermined negative refractive index. The cloaking shell is configured to surround part of the compensation unit, and is composed of a second meta-material. The negative refractive index may be a negative refractive index that is adapted to cloak the target object by compensating for the positive refractive index of the first space.

    摘要: An unmanned autonomous vehicle is configured to delivery packages in a product delivery network. The vehicle includes an outer housing, a conversion circuit, a battery, and a control circuit. The outer housing includes a first layer that is configured to collect solar radiation, and a second layer that is configured to render a visual display. The conversion circuit is disposed within the outer housing, and is coupled to the first layer. The conversion circuit is configured to convert the collected solar radiation to electrical charge and store the charge in a battery. The control circuit is coupled to the second layer and is configured to independently determine one or more images to render at the second layer, and to cause the one or more images to be rendered at the second layer. The solar radiation is collected at the first layer simultaneously with the images being rendered at the second layer.

    摘要: An apparatus includes at least one transmitter configured to transmit wireless signals that heat objects in a scene and cause the objects to radiate thermal energy and create a pattern of thermal radiation in the scene. The apparatus also includes at least one controller configured to control the at least one transmitter in order to control the creation of the pattern of thermal radiation in the scene. The pattern of thermal radiation in the scene could include a camouflage pattern that increases clutter in an infrared image of the scene, at least one temporary infrared marker, or at least one false shape in an infrared image of the scene. The pattern of thermal radiation in the scene could reduce a contrast between a cold infrared background in the scene and one or more targets in the scene.
