Abstract: A non-contact power reception apparatus is provided, in which a power reception coil for a charging system and a loop antenna for an electronic settlement system are mounted on a battery pack and a cover case of a portable terminal such that the power reception coil is arranged in the center thereof and the loop antenna is disposed outside the power reception coil, so that a mode of receiving a wireless power signal and a mode of transmitting and receiving data are selectively performed, thereby preventing interference from harmonic components and enabling non-contact charging and electronic settlement using a single portable terminal. A jig for fabricating a core to be mounted to the non-contact power reception apparatus is provided.

Abstract: An electromagnetic coil with improved insulation properties at high temperatures. A bobbin is insulated by a thin ceramic composite layer that is produced by winding a glass or ceramic fiber over the support structure and impregnating it with a pre-ceramic polymer. The pre-ceramic polymer is then modified to form a ceramic SiO2 matrix around the fibrous layer. The ceramic matrix secures the glass or ceramic fibers in place and produces a dense layer. A ceramic coated magnet wire is then wound around the insulated support structure. The magnet wire is a conductor that is spiral-wrapped with a glass fiber impregnated with a pre-ceramic polymer.

Abstract: A filter component assembly kit includes a bobbin that is configured with first and second members and a core that is in a quadrangular frame shape. When the first member is assembled with the second member, a through hole is formed in the bobbin. The through hole extends in a first direction. The core is configured with first and second extension bars. The first and second extension bars extend in parallel in the first direction. When the first extension bar is disposed in the through hole of the bobbin, rotation of the core around the first extension bar is prevented. First allowance of the first extension bar in a second direction, which is perpendicular to the first direction, in the through hole is larger than second allowance of the first extension bar in a third direction, which is perpendicular to the first and second directions, in the through hole.

Abstract: A shim system for influencing and homogenizing the magnetic field of an NMR system includes a coil former (1), an extension tube (2) and a terminal unit (3), as well as partial coils (4, 4a) that are mounted on the coil former. Terminal lines (6a, 6b) for connecting the partial coils to the terminal unit are initially electrically disconnected from one another between the coil former and the extension tube. A circuit board (5) with connection lines (5a, 5b, 5c, 5d), however, is interposed between the disconnected terminal lines. This makes it possible to redesign the shim system in the mechanical construction thereof using simple technical measures and standard components, and without giving rise to significant additional costs. Therefore, production of the partial windings on the coil former can take place in a simplified, economical and automated manner, without requiring an extension tube to be already fitted.

Abstract: A conductor assembly and method for constructing an assembly of the type which, when conducting current, generates a magnetic field or which, in the presence of a changing magnetic field, induces a voltage. In one embodiment the method provides a first insulative layer tubular in shape and including a surface along which a conductor segment may be positioned. A channel formed in the surface of the insulative layer defines a first conductor path and includes a surface of first contour in cross section along a first plane transverse to the conductor path. A segment of conductor having a surface of second contour in cross section is positioned at least partly in the channel and extends along the conductor path. Along the first plane, contact between the conductor surface of second contour and the channel surface of first contour includes at least two separate regions of contact.
