摘要： Method and systems for determining a battery electric vehicle (BEV) protection plate has been damaged. A BEV protection plate includes a circuit. The circuit includes a plurality of conductive tabs. The BEV protection is separated from a battery housing by an opening. The conductive tabs extend from the circuit disposed on the BEV protection plate into the opening. A diagnostic device measures a voltage of the battery housing. A controller is in communication with the diagnostic device, determines a short circuit based on the measured voltage of the battery housing; and outputs to a display a notification that the BEV protection plate is compromised.
