    摘要: This application describes an n-port circulator comprising n identical circuit units arranged in a closed loop configuration. Each unit is a three terminal circuit including two transistors and two equal, impedance-matching impedances. The first terminal is connected to the base of the first transistor, and to the emitter of the second transistor through one of the impedances. The second terminal is connected to the collector of the second transistor, and to the emitter of the first transistor through the other impedance. The third terminal is connected to the collector of the first transistor, while the base of the second transistor is grounded. The units are interconnected such that the third terminal of each is coupled to the first terminal of the next adjacent unit in the loop. The second terminals of the units constitute the ports of the circulator.

    摘要: A multi-port active circulator includes a plurality of cascode circuits coupled to one another in a ring. Each respective cascode circuit of the plurality of cascode circuits is coupled to a respective port of a plurality of ports. Each respective cascode circuit includes a common source transistor, a common gate transistor coupled to the common source transistor, and a feedback circuit coupled from the common gate transistor to the common source transistor. Each common source transistor of each respective cascode circuit is coupled to a common junction point.

    摘要: This specification describes an electrical network having the properties of a circulator with n ports in sequence in a closed ring in which each port has associated with it a respective pair of signal transmission paths of equal but opposite gains connected from a common input point for the pair of paths to a common output point for the pair of paths, the port being coupled for signal transfer to and from only one of the paths of the pair, and the common output point for the pair of paths associated with each port being associated with the next port in the sequence so as to form a closed ring of pairs of paths. The transmission paths may consist of differential amplifiers respective to the pairs of paths together with associated resistors.
