The aerosol condensing system includes a source electrode electrically connected to an electrical source that applies an electrical voltage to the source electrode, a condenser including a sink electrode to collect aerosol contained in an air stream to the sink electrode, and a duct configured to direct the aerosol to the condenser. The source electrode and the sink electrode creates an electrical field within the duct.

摘要: We disclose a window blind which purifies the surrounding air using electrostatic interactions. The window blind includes slats which may have a strip of positively charged material, a strip of negatively charged material, or both attached to the top of the slat. In some embodiments, the positively charged material and the negatively charged material are attached to alternating slats. In other embodiments, the positively charged material and the negatively charged material are attached to the top of the same slate with a strip of insulating material positioned between them. The window blind may include an air-moving device which moves air past the slats so that dust particles with either a net positive charge or net negative charge may be attracted to the oppositely charged material on the slat. The air-moving device may be a vacuum or a fan. The positively and negatively charged materials may be removeable for cleaning.

摘要: An apparatus and a method are provided for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system air filter for a building ventilation system. The HVAC system air filter comprises a supportive frame configured to orient the HVAC system air filter within the building ventilation system. A composite filter medium retained within the supportive frame comprises a cotton gauze portion and an electrostatic portion. The cotton gauze portion is configured for treatment with a filter oil composition to enhance airflow and filtration of air flowing through the composite filter medium. The electrostatic portion is configured to electrostatically attract and agglomerate airborne molecular contaminants and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) as small as 0.001 microns in diameter. In some embodiments, the composite filter medium comprises substances configured to release a fragrance into air passing through the composite filter medium.

摘要: An apparatus for separating particles from an air stream, the apparatus having an inlet region for the waste air stream, an outlet region for the waste air stream, a separating device arranged along the waste air stream, and at least one electrode arrangement which is connected to a high voltage source, wherein a charging region having one or more electrodes is provided to form a layer enriched with electrical charges, and wherein a separating region having separating surfaces is provided, which is subordinate to the charging region. The invention also relates to a method for separating particles from the waste air stream of a coating booth, wherein the waste air stream through a charging region in which particles of the waste air stream are charged, and the waste air stream after leaving the charging region flows through a separating region in which charged particles are deposited on separating surfaces.
