摘要: The electret-treated sheet includes: a core layer (A) which is a porous film containing at least a thermoplastic resin; a surface layer (X) disposed on one side of the core layer (A); and a back surface layer (Y) disposed on the other side of the core layer (A), the surface layer (X) and the back surface layer (Y) each having a charged outermost surface, wherein the electret-treated sheet has a water vapor permeability coefficient of 0.1 to 2.5 g·mm/m2·24 hr; the core layer (A) has a pore aspect ratio of 5 to 50 and an average pore height of 2.5 to 15 μm; the surface layer (X) and the back surface layer (Y) each have a thickness of 5 to 200 μm; and the surface layer (X) includes a heat seal layer (B) including the outermost surface, wherein the heat seal layer (B) has a melting point of 50 to 140° C.

摘要: A passive and active sampler for airborne particulate sampling (especially particles of biological origin) and a method of using same are disclosed. The sampler includes a sampler base portion of variable size and shape having a longitudinal body and an inner surface. The sampler base portion is configured with a plurality of air channels having variable air channel spacing therethrough the longitudinal body. A plurality of layers of ferroelectric film have a first side and a second side polarized by application of an external electric field such that the first side produces a negative electric field at a first surface and the second side produces a positive electric field at a second surface. The plurality of layers of polarized, ferroelectric film are disposed thereon the longitudinal body with their opposite polarization directions facing each other across a fixed air gap to collect both charged and uncharged particles. The use of such technology as an electrostatic precipitator for active sampling of airborne particulates and a method of using same are further disclosed. This electrostatic precipitator technology can be used for bioaerosol or general particle filtration, as in HVAC systems.

摘要: Use of an electrically charged nonwoven fabric that is made of a fiber predominantly composed of an amorphous polymer provides a novel filtration material having improved performance compared to that of conventional filtration materials, and having excellent heat resistance and excellent flame retardancy as well as an electrically charged nonwoven fabric for use in the filtration material. It is preferable that the surface charge density is greater than or equal to 1×10−10 coulomb/cm2. It is preferable that the collection efficiency for collecting a dust particle with a particle diameter of 1 μm flowing at a fabric-passing velocity of 8.6 cm/second is greater than or equal to 40%, the QF value is greater than or equal to 0.05, and the decrement of the dust-particle collection efficiency after being allowed to leave at 100° C. for 24 hours is less than or equal to 10%.

摘要: A grilling machine is described, which comprises a base body, a plate, arranged on the base body and defining a cooking surface whereon foods to be cooked are laid, and heating means operationally associated with the plate for heating the cooking surface. There is also a circuit, associated with the plate, for treating the fumes produced during the food cooking process. The fumes treatment circuit comprises: a hood arranged above the plate, which comprises at least one suction mouth, a filtering unit fluidically connected to the hood, and at least one recirculation outlet fluidically connected downstream of the filtering unit and located near the plate. In this manner, the cooking fumes sucked in through the suction mouth of the hood are treated by the filtering unit in order to obtain a purified flow with a given percentage of humidity. The purified flow is then recirculated towards the cooking surface through the recirculation outlet in order to exert a humidifying action on the foods.

摘要: A filtration material comprising a blend of polypropylene and acrylic fibers of round, flat, dog bone, oval or kidney bean shape in any size from 0.08 to 3.3 Dtex. A preferred blend contains about 50 weight percent polypropylene fibers and about 50 weight percent acrylic fibers. The fibers can be blended ranging from 90:10 to 10:90 polypropylene to acrylic. The shape contains 25 weight percent round, flat, oval, dog bone and kidney bean shapes. The fiber blend contains 25 weight percent of at least one size between 0.08 and 3.3 Dtex. Electret fibers incorporated within these blends have 0.02 to 33 weight percent of a charge control agent. These fibers can be used in producing electret material by corona or triboelectric charging methods.
