摘要: An approach for operating at least one touch-sensitive, flat input device of a complete device, the input device being connected via a message-based bus connection to a control device of the complete device, and messages containing touch datasets describing touch data events being transmitted to the control device, which evaluates the messages for input information for an application program implemented by the control device, wherein when a security function in the control device that queries sensitive input information is accessed, the touch datasets are transmitted from the input device to the control apparatus via the bus connection in encrypted form until the associated input process has ended.

摘要: A system is provided. The system includes a computing resource, a cable insertable into the computing resource, a locking element and a controller. The locking element is configured to assume a locked condition in which the cable is locked to the computing resource or prevented from insertion into the computing resource and an unlocked condition in which the cable is removable from the computing resource and permitted to be inserted into the computing resource. The controller is configured to define rules for users. The rules are associated with respective identifiers (IDs) of each of the users and establish criteria associated with each user for causing the locking element to assume one of the locked and unlocked conditions.

摘要: A security device includes a bus interface and circuitry. The bus interface is coupled to a bus connecting between a host device and a peripheral device. The circuitry is configured to receive, via the bus interface, a clock signal of the bus, and to produce a delayed clock signal relative to the clock signal. The circuitry is further configured to monitor, using the clock signal, transactions communicated between the host device and the peripheral device, in response to identifying a given transaction, of which a portion is expected to be delayed by a predefined time delay relative to the clock signal, to sample the portion of the given transaction using the delayed clock signal, and in response to identifying, based on the sampled portion, that the given transaction violates a security policy, to apply a security action.

摘要: A method of authorizing a limited use intravascular device can include determining if the intravascular device is in communication with a clinical system; determining if the intravascular device is authorized for clinical operation without providing the clinical system access to intravascular device data stored on the intravascular device; and providing an authorization signal to the clinical system. An intravascular device can include a flexible elongate member including a sensing component at a distal portion and a connector at a proximal portion, the connector including: a memory component configured to store a parameter value; a processing component; and a charge storage component configured to power the memory component and/or the processing component; wherein the processing component is configured to determine if the flexible elongate member is authorized for clinical operation using the parameter value without providing the parameter value to a clinical system.

The baseband processor is configured to exchange the data with the security subsystem by using the first bidirectional bus, and implement wireless communication by using the data. The security subsystem and the baseband processor are in the same hierarchy. The security subsystem may proactively perform data transmission by using the first bidirectional bus.

摘要: A method may include, in an information handling system having a backplane comprising a plurality of connectors, each connector configured to receive an input/output device, and a motherboard communicatively coupled to the backplane via a cable having a presence detection wire configured to transmit presence detection information associated with the plurality of connectors and further having a plurality of data transmission wires: during a discrete mode, monitoring for an indicator from the backplane via the presence detection wire to determine if the backplane is configured for communication of serial presence detection information regarding the plurality of connectors and enter a serial mode in response to receiving the indicator; during the serial mode, receiving via the presence detection wire serialized frames including serialized presence detection information regarding input/output devices received in the plurality of connectors; and deserializing the serialized presence detection information and communicating deserialized presence detection information to a host controller configured to communicate with input/output devices received in the plurality of connectors via the plurality of data transmission wires.

摘要: A master device issues memory burst transaction requests via an interconnection bus to fetch data from a slave device. A cipher engine is coupled to the interconnection bus and decrypts the fetched data to produce plaintext data for the master device. The cipher engine selectively operates according to a stream cipher operation mode, or a block cipher operation mode. The cipher engine is configured to stall a read data channel of the interconnection bus between the slave device and the master device in response to the cipher engine switching from the block cipher operation mode to the stream cipher operation mode. The read data channel is reactivated in response to a last beat of a read burst of the plaintext data produced by the cryptographic engine.
