Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing an image. The method and apparatus may each perform the operations of extracting motion information of an input signal calculating true motion information, which indicates whether an object of interest moves and an area where the object of interest moved, from the motion information, and deinterlacing the input signal by using the motion information with respect to an area that is determined to have true motion, such that the input signal is in a form before being compressed for transmission. The method and apparatus may further perform an operation of converting resolution of the deinterlaced input signal. In the converting of the resolution, the resolution may be converted by using the true motion information and the motion information.

Abstract: Methods and related liquid crystal display devices are disclosed that reduce/avoid a tearing effect in displayed images. A scan time of a scan clock signal of a display is detected. A write time of a write clock signal that writes data into a memory for display on the display is detected. The write time is regulated in response to a comparison of the scan time of the scan clock signal to the write time of the write clock signal.

Abstract: A method for scheduling in a cellular system using a relay station (RS) through an inter-antenna cooperative transmission technology based on pre-cooperation information according to each channel in a cellular system using a cable RS in order to increase the throughput of the entire system. The steps include classifying all mobile stations (MSs) in a corresponding cell based into Cooperative Transmission (CT) MSs for cooperative transmission and Single Transmission (ST) MSs for to each channel; mapping channel-by-channel channel capacities of the CT MSs and ST MSs classified according to each channel, selecting a channel with a highest priority, and receiving a request message from a corresponding MS according to whether the capacity of the selected channel satisfies preset CT criteria and selecting an MS having a metric value of a highest priority according to a corresponding scheduling algorithm, from among multiple requesting MSs.

Abstract: A method of driving a display panel includes applying a common voltage to the display panel, sensing a frequency of the display panel to generate a frequency signal, adjusting a gain of an operational amplifier based on the frequency signal, receiving a feedback common voltage from the display panel, and compensating the common voltage using an input resistor, the operational amplifier and a feedback resistor based on the feedback common voltage to apply the compensated common voltage to the display panel. The operational amplifier includes an inverting input terminal connected to the input resistor, a non-inverting input terminal to which a reference common voltage is applied and an output terminal. The feedback resistor is between the inverting input terminal and the output terminal.

The GaN-based semiconductor device may include a heat dissipation substrate (that is, a thermal conductive substrate); a GaN-based multi-layer arranged on the heat dissipation substrate and having N-face polarity; and a heterostructure field effect transistor (HFET) or a Schottky electrode arranged on the GaN-based multi-layer. The HFET device may include a gate having a double recess structure. While such a GaN-based semiconductor device is being manufactured, a wafer bonding process and a laser lift-off process may be used.
