Abstract: A low-resolution image is displayed at higher resolution and afterimages are reduced. Resolution is made higher by super-resolution processing. In this case, the super-resolution processing is performed after frame interpolation processing is performed. Further, in that case, the super-resolution processing is performed using a plurality of processing systems. Therefore, even when frame frequency is made higher, the super-resolution processing can be performed at high speed. Further, since frame rate doubling is performed by the frame interpolation processing, afterimages can be reduced.

Abstract: Circuits for programming a circuit with decreased programming time are provided. Such circuits include a storage device such as a capacitor for storing display information and for ensuring a driving device such as a driving transistor drives a light emitting device according to the display information. The present disclosure provides driving schemes for decreasing flickering perceived while displaying video content by introducing idle phases in between in emission phases to increase the effective refresh rate of a display. Driving schemes are also disclosed for reducing the effects of cross-talk by ensuring that programming information is refreshed in a display array that utilizes a driver connected to multiple data lines via a multiplexer.

Abstract: A pure color screen inspection method for a display panel is provided. The method includes selecting the sub-pixels of an undetected color; turning on the gate electrodes of odd row using a first scan line; providing a data signal to the sub-pixels of odd row using a corresponding data line; turning on the gate electrodes of even row using a second scan line; providing a data signal to the sub-pixels of even row using a corresponding data line; and repeating above steps. The beneficial effects of the method are that a display panel can be lighted up with a pure color screen without mixed colors via a printed circuit board.

Abstract: A thin-film transistor (TFT) array substrate is provided. The TFT array substrate is structured to change the way that sub-pixels are arranged so that during a displaying period of a frame of image, the sub-pixels that have inconsistent brightness/darkness become alternate with each other spatially so that a displaying defect of vertical bright/dark lines can be improved and the overall resistance of the data line can be reduced to thereby reduce resistance-capacitance delay and prevent incorrect charging at a tail end of a scan line or a data line.

Abstract: A touch screen display may include gate line driver circuitry coupled to a display pixel array. The display may be provided with intra-frame pausing (IFP) capabilities, where touch or other operations may be performed during one or more intra-frame blanking intervals. In one suitable arrangement, a gate driver circuit may include multiple gate line driver segments each of which is activated by a separate gate start pulse is that received through a demultiplexing circuit. In another suitable embodiment, the gate driver circuit may include analog or digital gate driver units that include control circuits for selectively (dis)charging internal nodes in the gate driver circuit so as to balance the amount of stress that is experienced by a drive transistor in gate driver units at or near an IFP row and the amount of stress that is experienced by the remaining gate driver units.
