Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) capable wireless device configured to perform sidelink cellular communications. The wireless device performs sidelink communications using a two-stage sidelink control information (SCI) protocol including Stage 1 SCI messaging carried on a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH), and Stage 2 SCI messaging carried on a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH). The SCI messaging may be encoded using polar codes. Channel interleaving is utilized on the SCI to interleave the SCI between two or more layers of a MIMO transmission system. Scrambling for Stage 2 SCI messaging is performed based on the result of a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) performed on Stage 1 SCI messaging. Collisions between sidelink HARQ feedback to be transmitted to a base station and other transmissions are avoided based on a priority analysis of the sidelink HARQ feedback.

Abstract: An approach to communication by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system that includes the UE sending an RRC setup request message including a paging offset value to a base station. The UE receives an RRC setup message from the network node, the RRC setup message including a PS-paging offset value and a PS-P-RNTI value associated with the UE. Energy conservation approaches for use with paging are described, including paging occasion monitor reporting and configuration, paging-offset reporting, the use of a paging monitoring skipping signal, and the use of dynamic TRS triggering for paging reception.

Abstract: Methods and systems to activate beams for beam switching based on measurements of a downlink reference signal that is QCL Type-D with a downlink pathloss reference signal are disclosed. A UE may measure and report to a base station the RSRP of the reference signal that is QCL Type-D with a target downlink pathloss reference signal. Based on the reported RSRP measurements, the base station may activate the target pathloss reference signal to command the UE to update the pathloss measurements of the target pathloss reference signal for uplink power control of a beam corresponding to the target pathloss reference signal. The UE may determine whether the target pathloss reference signal is considered known for uplink power control based on the timing relationship among the reception of the reference signal from the base station, the transmission of the RSRP measurement of the reference signal, and reception of the activation command.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for operating transceiver circuitry to transmit or receive signals on various frequency ranges. To do so, an electronic device may determine a receive delay between one or more messages received on different component carriers and may transmit the receive delay to a base station to update how communications are transmitted on one of the component carriers. The update made to at least one of the component carriers may compensate for the receive delay between the different component carriers. Compensating for the receive delay may improve operations that delay downlink communications to reduce a likelihood or stop simultaneous downlink and uplink communications by further adjusting for delays seen at an electronic device when communicating with base stations disposed at a different distances from the electronic device.

Abstract: A reduced capacity (redcap) device may perform initial uplink communications, including transmitting a redcap physical uplink control channel (R-PUCCH), over an initial uplink bandwidth part (BWP) shared with a second device, the initial uplink BWP having a bandwidth (BW) larger than a maximum BW supported by the redcap device and smaller than or equal to a maximum BW supported by the second device. Frequency hopping operation for the redcap device may be supported for the R-PUCCH transmission through frequency division multiplexing and/or time division multiplexing settings for the resources used for the R-PUCCH transmission, and for PUCCH transmission by the second device. Restrictions may be implemented to create a gap for redcap devices to perform RF retuning between a physical RACH transmission and a subsequent physical control channel (e.g. PDCCH) monitoring for random access reception when the frequency gap is larger than the maximum BW supported by the redcap device.

The configuration message specifies one or more parameters of a Doppler measurement report. One example aspect is a user equipment (UE) device, comprising: a memory; an antenna; a transceiver connected to the antenna; and a processor configured to: while in a dual connectivity (DC) mode where the UE is connected to a master node (MN) associated with a master cell group (MCG) and a secondary node (SN) associated with a SCG comprising a primary secondary cell (PSCell), receive a signaling from a base station (BS) comprising an indication to enter a suspended state for the secondary cell group (SCG), in response to the signaling, enter the suspended state for the SCG, while in the suspended state for the SCG, perform relaxed measurements on the PSCell; and send, to the BS, a measurement report comprising a one or more measurement results from the relaxed measurements.
