Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station using a beamforming configuration, according to a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) configuration. The UE may receive a message including a TCI configuration. The UE may determine based on the TCI configuration, a TCI pool for a TCI state type of a set of TCI state types and a set of CCs. The UE may then perform the wireless communication via a directional beam based on the TCI pool for the TCI state type and the set of component carriers (CCs).

Abstract: In an embodiment, a base station determines a spatial relationship for a group of PUCCH resources, and transmits a control message that indicates the spatial relationship to a UE. The UE receives the control message and stores an indication of the spatial relationship. In some designs, the control message conveying the spatial relationship identifies the group of PUCCH resources via the PUCCH group index, while in other designs a different identification mechanism may be used. In another embodiment, a base station determines an association between a group of PUCCH resources and a PUCCH group index, and transmits a control message that indicates the association to a UE. The UE receives the control message and stores an indication of the association.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a priority rule for selecting to monitor a first beam associated with a first broadcast transmission or a second beam that differs from the first beam and is associated with a unicast transmission. The UE may use the priority rule when a scheduling conflict is identified between the first broadcast transmission and the unicast transmission. Such conflicts may include at least one of a broadcast transmission, a control resource set (CORESET) monitoring occasion of the broadcast transmission, or reference signals of the broadcast transmission at least partially overlapping with a unicast transmission, a CORESET monitoring occasion of the unicast transmission, or reference signals associated with the unicast transmission. The UE may monitor, in accordance with the priority rule, one of the first beam or the second beam based on identification of scheduling conflict.

One or more parameters for performing a random access procedure with a second UE over a sidelink can be received from a base station. A first random access message can be transmitted to the second UE as part of the random access procedure over the sidelink. A second random access message can be received, from the second UE, in response to transmitting the first random access message, and as part of the random access procedure over the sidelink, where at least one of transmitting the first random access message or receiving the second random access message are based on the one or more parameters.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. Additionally, the apparatus can communicate the downlink data from or the uplink data to TRPs in a same SSB group or TRPs in different SSB groups based on at least one of the SSB grouping information, the TCI information, or the QCL information.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to techniques for set based beam reporting. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication of one or more sets of candidate beams, where each set of candidate beams includes a first beam combination and a second beam combination. The first beam combination may include a first beam as a channel measurement resource (CMR) and a second beam as an interference measurement resource (IMR), and the second beam combination may include the second beam as a CMR and the first beam as an IMR. The UE may determine measurement values for beam combinations in the sets and determine a candidate set to report based at least in part on the measurement values. The UE may transmit a measurement report with measurement values for the first and second beam combinations of the candidate set.

Abstract: To schedule panel specific uplink transmissions, the UE may assist in the scheduling of the panel specific uplink transmission by improving the manner in which the specific panel is indicated for uplink transmission. The apparatus receives, from a base station, an indication of a UE panel for an uplink transmission. The apparatus determines a Tx panel at the UE based on the indication of the UE panel. The apparatus transmits, to the base station, the uplink transmission using the Tx beam associated with the Tx panel.

Abstract: Aspects provide a mechanism for activating a secondary serving cell (SCell) in a wireless communication network supporting a multi-cell transmission environment. In some examples, a scheduled entity (e.g., a UE) in a connected mode with a primary serving cell (PCell) may synchronize with the SCell to activate the SCell for multi-cell communication with the PCell and the SCell. To enable synchronization with the SCell, the PCell may trigger communication and processing of one or more reference signals between the scheduled entity and the SCell.
