    Abstract: A first CSI-RS signal is received by user equipment through a first cell, and a second CSI-RS signal is received through a second cell. Respective QCL information can be available to determine a first Rx beam to measure the first CSI-RS signal and a second Rx beam to measure the second CSI-RS signal. In such a case, if the first CSI-RS signal and the second CSI-RS signal are fully overlapped, then the user equipment can i) alternate between measuring the first CSI-RS signal with the first Rx beam and measuring the second CSI-RS signal with the second Rx beam, or ii) measure only the first CSI-RS signal or the second CSI-RS signal. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

    Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) capable wireless device configured to perform sidelink cellular communications. The wireless device performs sidelink communications using a two-stage sidelink control information (SCI) protocol including Stage 1 SCI messaging carried on a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH), and Stage 2 SCI messaging carried on a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH). The SCI messaging may be encoded using polar codes. Channel interleaving is utilized on the SCI to interleave the SCI between two or more layers of a MIMO transmission system. Scrambling for Stage 2 SCI messaging is performed based on the result of a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) performed on Stage 1 SCI messaging. Collisions between sidelink HARQ feedback to be transmitted to a base station and other transmissions are avoided based on a priority analysis of the sidelink HARQ feedback.

    Abstract: Methods and systems to activate beams for beam switching based on measurements of a downlink reference signal that is QCL Type-D with a downlink pathloss reference signal are disclosed. A UE may measure and report to a base station the RSRP of the reference signal that is QCL Type-D with a target downlink pathloss reference signal. Based on the reported RSRP measurements, the base station may activate the target pathloss reference signal to command the UE to update the pathloss measurements of the target pathloss reference signal for uplink power control of a beam corresponding to the target pathloss reference signal. The UE may determine whether the target pathloss reference signal is considered known for uplink power control based on the timing relationship among the reception of the reference signal from the base station, the transmission of the RSRP measurement of the reference signal, and reception of the activation command.

    Abstract: A reduced capacity (redcap) device may perform initial uplink communications, including transmitting a redcap physical uplink control channel (R-PUCCH), over an initial uplink bandwidth part (BWP) shared with a second device, the initial uplink BWP having a bandwidth (BW) larger than a maximum BW supported by the redcap device and smaller than or equal to a maximum BW supported by the second device. Frequency hopping operation for the redcap device may be supported for the R-PUCCH transmission through frequency division multiplexing and/or time division multiplexing settings for the resources used for the R-PUCCH transmission, and for PUCCH transmission by the second device. Restrictions may be implemented to create a gap for redcap devices to perform RF retuning between a physical RACH transmission and a subsequent physical control channel (e.g. PDCCH) monitoring for random access reception when the frequency gap is larger than the maximum BW supported by the redcap device.

    Abstract: A first cellular base station transmits a configuration message to a reporting device installed on a high-speed vehicle. The configuration message specifies one or more parameters of a Doppler measurement report. The reporting device performs one or more first Doppler measurements on the first base station and/or one or more second Doppler measurements on a second base station. The reporting device transmits the Doppler measurement report to the first and/or second base stations. The Doppler measurement report may be used by the first and/or second base stations to perform Doppler pre-compensation on transmissions to the reporting device.
