    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a first physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource indicator, which indicates a first PUCCH resource for a first instance of a repeated PUCCH message, and a second PUCCH resource indicator, which indicates a second PUCCH resource for a second instance of the repeated PUCCH message. The UE may determine a first slot for the first instance and a second slot for the second instance, and transmit the first instance in the first PUCCH resource in the first slot and the second instance in the second PUCCH resource in the second slot. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An example method of wireless communication at a user equipment includes receiving a data transmission for each of a plurality of component carriers (CCs) over a wireless channel from a base station, wherein each data transmission is associated with a number of code block groups (CBGs). The method further includes identifying a feedback protocol to apply to the plurality of CCs and selecting a subset of the plurality of CCs for which to report feedback information for the CBGs based at least in part on the feedback protocol. The method may also include generating the feedback information based at least in part on the subset of the plurality of CCs and the feedback protocol and transmitting a feedback message that indicates the feedback information for the subset of the plurality of CCs of the wireless channel to the base station.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Wireless communications systems may employ one or more scheduling constraints to support efficient utilization of techniques for intra-device handling of overlapping scheduled uplink transmissions (e.g., intra-device dynamic resource cancelation and multiplexing) as well as inter-device handling of overlapping scheduled uplink transmissions (e.g., inter-device dynamic resource cancelation and multiplexing). Scheduling constraints may define how a device may apply intra-device and inter-device multiplexing and cancelation rules for various scenarios. For example, a device may apply intra-UE cancelation rules before inter-device cancelation rules. In some examples, later-received grants or uplink preemption indications (ULPIs) may not change a device's previously established decision to drop an uplink transmission. As another example, a device may not expect to receive a grant for an uplink transmission that would arise in subsequent cancelation of that uplink transmission due to a previously-received grant or previously-received ULPI.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may be configured to encode at least one partial uplink (UL) repetition using a sequence-based encoding based on a codebook, the first partial UL repetition not including a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS). A base station may transmit a configuration of the encoding scheme of the partial UL repetitions to the UE, and the UE may encode the at least one partial UL repetition based on the received configuration. The base station may decode the received at least one partial UL repetition based on the configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems may support codebook structures for multiplexing single-bit feedback and multi-bit feedback in a same uplink feedback message. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first downlink message associated with single-bit feedback and a second downlink message associated with multi-bit feedback. The first downlink message and the second downlink message may have a common uplink transmission opportunity for transmitting feedback pertaining to the downlink messages. The UE may generate a codebook that supports inclusion of both the single-bit feedback and the multi-bit feedback for the first and second downlink messages. The UE may transmit the feedback message during the common uplink transmission opportunity based on the codebook.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit capability information to the network indicating its coherence capability for transmitting multiple layers on a single antenna port. In some cases, the indicated capability information may actually be less than the actual capability of the UE, but may indicate which transmission precoding matrix indicator (TPMI) indexes are valid, such that the UE is not expected to transmit complex waveforms resulting from too many layers per antenna port. In some examples, the UE may indicate, in the capability information, a threshold number of layers per antenna port it can support. In some examples, the UE may indicate its coherence capability on a per-rank basis. In some examples, the UE may be capable of supporting up to 8 layers per antenna port. In some cases, codebooks may be restricted to support 8 layer transmissions.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for a relay UE and a source UE to provide transmissions of uplink communications in a decode and forward procedure in which redundancy version (RV) identifications of each instance of a transmission or retransmission are associated with a particular link of the source UE or relay UE. A set of RV sequences may be configured, with the source UE using a first subset of the RV sequences, and the relay UE using a second subset of RV sequences that is non-overlapping with the first subset. A base station or destination UE that receives the transmissions from the source UE and relay UE may thus receive RVs in accordance with the set of RV sequences.
