Abstract: A method for optimizing satellite signal performance in a satellite transmission system. The method includes: obtaining signal data from at least some of the plurality of customer receivers, measuring the signal data from each of the signal beams that were obtained; analyzing metadata from the components of the satellite transmission system, signal source front end controls, and spectral sampling; identifying signal degradation at the satellite spacecraft in the space segment from the signal data of actual spot beam coverage using the measured signal data and the analyzed metadata; and predicting remediation actions to correct the signal degradation at the satellite spacecraft in the space segment.

Abstract: A facility for generating analytical information based on individual reports of multiple scheduled presentations of interstitial media assets is provided. Data files are received that each include multiple status reports regarding multiple scheduled presentations of multiple media assets by a plurality of distinct media receivers in multiple disparate locations. Based at least in part on the data files, multiple database entries are generated for at least one database containing information regarding the multiple scheduled presentations and the plurality of distinct media receivers. Analytical information is generated regarding the multiple scheduled media presentations based on the generated database entries, including an aggregated success rate for one or more subsets of the scheduled media presentations. At least some of the generated first analytical information is displayed on a user client device coupled to the multichannel media distribution computing system.

Abstract: A facility for generating and displaying information regarding the packaging of individual media asset files associated with multiple scheduled presentations of interstitial media assets is provided. Scheduling information is received regarding future scheduled media presentations for each of a plurality of media assets via one or more content channels. Based at least in part on the received scheduling information, one or more package files are generated such that each package file includes a plurality of media asset files, each corresponding to at least one of the future scheduled media presentations, for distribution to a plurality of distinct media receivers. Database information is generated regarding the generating of the one or more package files, such that the database information includes a completion time associated with the generating of each package file. At least a portion of the generated database information is displayed on a user client device coupled to a multichannel media distribution computing system.

Abstract: A query session system and method is operable to determine a current location of a consumer conversation acquisition system when the consumer conversation acquisition system is a mobile electronic device or determine a current operation of the consumer conversation acquisition system when the consumer conversation acquisition system is stationary. Stored state information corresponding to the determined location or operation is accessed that identifies one of a receptive state of the consumer, an unreceptive state of the consumer, or optionally an indeterminate state of the consumer. The query session is presented to the consumer when the consumer is the receptive state. A query session presents a series of audible questions to the consumer that pertain to a subject media content event that the consumer has previously consumed. Responses of the consumer to each one of the presented audible questions of the query session are acquired and are saved.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods for supplementing the processing capabilities of multimedia devices in a networked environment. A method can include providing a processing offloader module to physically connect to a first multimedia device in the networked environment. The offloader can be internal and/or external to the device. The method can include identifying the offloader, identifying a second multimedia device, and determining that a bandwidth of the second device falls below a threshold bandwidth. Instructions can be forwarded from the second device to the offloader when the bandwidth of the second device exceeds the threshold bandwidth. The offloader is configured to process the instructions and render multimedia information based on the instructions. A first communication can be transmitted to the second multimedia device indicating a request to enable a proxy configured to output received rendered multimedia information and the rendered multimedia information can be forwarded from the offloader to the second device.

Abstract: A technique is directed to methods and systems for outputting alerts on user interfaces. In some implementations, an alert system can identify devices connected to the alert interface and determine the user interface capabilities (e.g., audio, visual, or vibration) of each device. Upon receiving an alert of an emergency event, the alert system can determine the location of the user within a structure and select a device(s) nearby the user to transmit or display the notification of the emergency event to the user. The selected device can identify the emergency event and output the alert based upon the visual audible, or vibration user interface capabilities of the selected device.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems for providing multiple networks from a gateway. A multiple network gateway system can include a gateway (e.g., a router) with the ability to support multiple, configurable, and customizable networks. The gateway can connect to a source (e.g., internet service provider (ISP), cable networks, OTA networks, satellite networks, etc.) and determine the bandwidth. Using the determined bandwidth, the gateway can allocate the bandwidth among the multiple networks according to a priority order of the networks. In some implementations, the gateway can receive customizable features from the user. Examples of the customizable features can include security options, parental controls, operational hours, MAC address specific operations, number of user limits, and internet usage tracking. The gateway can determine the priority of each network based on the customizable features.
