Abstract: An orientation control device serving as a control device includes: an orientation control unit configured to, in a case where a vehicle is stopped on a slope road by applying braking force to a front wheel and a rear wheel, instruct a braking device to decrease front wheel braking force and rear wheel braking force and execute orientation control for instructing a drive device to increase drive force of the vehicle in a range in which a stop state of the vehicle is maintained; and a braking increase instruction unit configured to execute braking increase control for instructing the braking device to increase the braking force of at least one of the front wheel and the rear wheel after the increase in the drive force of the vehicle in accordance with the execution of the orientation control is ended.

Abstract: Braking torque is automatically applied based on requested deceleration and requested distance from a driving assistance device. Standard deceleration decreases in an “upwardly curved” form and then decreases in a “downwardly curved” form over time in a standard deceleration profile, and a standard speed profile corresponds to the standard deceleration profile. In the present calculation period, target deceleration and target speed profiles are set by adjusting the standard deceleration/standard speed profiles to satisfy the relationship between deceleration and vehicle body speed. The estimated distance from the reference speed to the vehicle stop is calculated based on the target speed profile. In a condition that the estimated distance is equal to/less than the requested distance is denied, braking torque is adjusted based on requested deceleration. After first satisfying the condition that the estimated distance is equal to/less than the requested distance, braking torque is adjusted according to the target deceleration profile.

Abstract: A motion conversion mechanism of a brake device includes a rotation member and a linear motion member that linearly moves accompanying the rotation of the rotation member. The rotation member is rotationally driven through a third gear. A male screw and a female screw mesh with each other on the side opposite to the brake shoe of the third gear, where one end of an actuating member receives a force for actuating the brake shoe from the linear motion member, and the other end actuates the brake shoe. The guide member that guides the actuating member is made of a material different from that of the rotation member, and slidably guides the actuating member in the axial direction.

Abstract: The brake control device controls a hydraulic brake to generate hydraulic braking force on both the front and rear wheels of a four-wheel-drive vehicle, and an electrical parking brake to generate parking brake force, different from the hydraulic braking force, on the front or rear wheels. The brake control device includes: a detection unit that detects parking brake operation for causing the electrical parking brake to generate a parking brake force; and a control unit for reducing the hydraulic braking force generated on the front wheels or the rear wheels and adjusting the hydraulic braking force on the other of the front wheels or the rear wheels to a magnitude allowing a stationary vehicle state to be maintained, before a parking brake force is generated by the electrical parking brake, when a parking brake operation is detected while a stationary state is being maintained solely by the hydraulic braking force.
