Abstract: A brake control device controls a hydraulic brake that generates hydraulic braking force and an electric parking brake that generates parking braking force different from the hydraulic braking force. The brake control device comprises: a detection unit that detects a parking brake operation for causing the electric parking brake to generate the parking braking force; and a control unit that causes the electric parking brake to generate the parking braking force when the hydraulic braking force per wheel generated by the hydraulic brake, after decreasing below the minimum first braking force per wheel required for maintaining the vehicle stop state only by the electric parking brake, is less than the first braking force, in association with the parking brake operation having been performed in a state where the stop state is maintained only by a hydraulic brake operation for causing the hydraulic brake to generate the hydraulic braking force.

Abstract: A brake control device includes a control unit configured to calculate a target current value, which is a target current value to the motor, based on master cylinder hydraulic pressure, and reduce an energization level to the motor when an actual current value, which is an actual current value to the motor, reaches the target current value, set a hydraulic pressure threshold value, which is a threshold value of the master cylinder hydraulic pressure corresponding to a braking force necessary for the vehicle to stop based on an inclination angle of a road on which the vehicle is stopped, and calculate a time change amount of the master cylinder hydraulic pressure, and in a case where the time change amount exceeds a predetermined change amount, increase an energization level to the motor when the master cylinder hydraulic pressure subsequently becomes less than or equal to the hydraulic pressure threshold value.

Abstract: A brake control device for controlling an electric parking brake may include: a piston capable of pressing a brake pad in accordance with the hydraulic pressure in a cylinder; a linearly moving member that adjusts, by reciprocating in the cylinder, the pressing force applied to the brake pad by the piston; and an actuator that moves the linearly moving member by operating based on a target pressing force, which is a target value of the pressing force corresponding to an output value obtained from a sensor that detects information correlating with the hydraulic pressure. The brake control device is provided with: an abnormality detection unit that detects an abnormality of the sensor; and an actuator control unit that, if an abnormality is detected, controls the operation level of the actuator based on an output value obtained prior to the detection of the abnormality.

Abstract: A vehicle braking control device is capable of further raising the speed at which vehicle vehicle-body deceleration increases when automatic braking processing implementation begins. Provided as a braking control device is a control device comprising: an acquisition unit that acquires an indicator; and a braking control unit that starts the implementation of automatic braking processing if a determination is made, on the basis of the indicator, that an automatic braking condition has been established. In the automatic braking process, the braking control unit restricts the supply of brake fluid to wheel cylinders corresponding to the rear wheels, and supplies brake fluid to wheel cylinders corresponding to the front wheels to increase the pressure of the wheel cylinders, thereby increasing the braking power for the front wheels and also giving the rear wheels braking power corresponding to the driving amount of a motor for parking.

Abstract: The brake control device controls a hydraulic brake to generate hydraulic braking force on both the front and rear wheels of a four-wheel-drive vehicle, and an electrical parking brake to generate parking brake force, different from the hydraulic braking force, on the front or rear wheels. The brake control device includes: a detection unit that detects parking brake operation for causing the electrical parking brake to generate a parking brake force; and a control unit for reducing the hydraulic braking force generated on the front wheels or the rear wheels and adjusting the hydraulic braking force on the other of the front wheels or the rear wheels to a magnitude allowing a stationary vehicle state to be maintained, before a parking brake force is generated by the electrical parking brake, when a parking brake operation is detected while a stationary state is being maintained solely by the hydraulic braking force.

Abstract: A brake control device according to an embodiment executes, for an electric braking wheel of either the front wheel and the rear wheel, a brake hold control for driving an electric braking device to move a propulsion shaft toward the braked member to be braked and bring it into contact with a piston, calculating a target braking force for maintaining the stationary state of the vehicle, subtracting a first braking force from the target braking force to calculate a required hydraulic braking force applied to the non-electric braking wheel different from the electric braking wheel, and controlling a differential pressure control valve connected to the non-electric braking wheel of the hydraulic braking device so that the required hydraulic braking force is applied to the non-electric braking wheel.
