    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system that has a first circuit and a second circuit that each have a compressor and a condenser, a conduit extending from the second circuit downstream of the condenser to the first circuit upstream of the compressor, a valve along the conduit that may manage flow therethrough, and a controller that may operate the HVAC system in a first mode such that each circuit separately circulates the refrigerant in each circuit and transition to a second mode such that refrigerant-sharing occurs between the circuits. In response to a request to transition from the second mode to the first mode, the controller may determine an amount of refrigerant subcooling, compare the amount to a threshold value associated with the first mode, and instruct opening of the valve upon a determination that the amount is less than the threshold value.

    Abstract: A building system for building data point prediction, the building system comprising one or more memory devices configured to store instructions, that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to receive first building data for a building data point of a building and generate training data, the training data comprising a probability distribution sequence comprising a first probability distribution for the building data point. The instructions cause the one or more processors to train a prediction model based on the training data, receive second building data for the building data point, and predict, for one or more time-steps into the future, one or more second probability distributions with the second building data based on the prediction model, each of the one or more second probability distributions being a probability distribution for the building data point at one of the one or more time-steps.

    Abstract: A building system for generating input forecast data. The building system comprising one or more memory devices configured to store instructions thereon that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to retrieve a current prediction set of measurements comprising current values associated with a plurality of time-steps; identify time-steps of the plurality of time-steps for which historical prediction values of a historical prediction set of measurements are outside of a tolerance of corresponding historical actual values of a historical actual set of measurements; replace each current value of the current prediction set of measurements that is associated with the identified time-steps with a predetermined value to generate an updated prediction set of measurements; and provide the updated prediction set of measurements to a prediction model.

    Abstract: The present disclosure includes a control board including a switchable input/output port. The switchable I/O port may provide a switchable communication bus capable of selectively supporting one of multiple different communication protocols and may provide a switchable power bus capable of selectively conducting electrical power from one of multiple different power supplies. As such, the control board may communicatively and/or electrically couple to a wide range of devices. To that end, the control board may support the dynamic interchange and reconfiguration of devices coupled to the control board, allowing a control system including the control board greater operational flexibility.

    Abstract: A method for controlling a plant includes using a neural network modeling technique to calculate a neural network prediction based on plant input data, using a second modeling technique to calculate a second prediction based on the plant input data, and determining whether to use (1) the neural network prediction without the second prediction, (2) the second prediction without the neural network prediction, or (3) both the neural network prediction and the second prediction by comparing a location of the plant input data in a multi-dimensional modeling space to one or more thresholds. The method includes generating a combined prediction using one or both of the neural network prediction and the second prediction in accordance with a result of the determining and controlling the plant using the combined prediction.

    Abstract: A system and method of determining a topology of devices in an Ethernet network of a building management system (BMS). The method includes discovering a number and identification of devices within the Ethernet ring. The method further includes, for each device discovered in the Ethernet ring, disabling an Ethernet port of one of the device in the Ethernet ring; broadcasting a ring port request onto the Ethernet ring; receiving a ring port response from each of the devices having received the ring port request; and incrementing a count associated with each device based on receiving a ring port response from the device. The method then repeats the above steps until each device in the Ethernet ring has had an Ethernet port disabled. The method further includes determining the topology of the devices in the Ethernet ring by ordering the devices in the Ethernet ring based on the value of the count associated with each device.

    Abstract: A building energy management includes building equipment, one or more data platform services, a timeseries database, and an energy management application. The building equipment operate to monitor and control a variable and provide raw data samples of a data point associated with the variable. The timeseries database stores a plurality of timeseries associated with the data point. The plurality of timeseries include a timeseries of the raw data samples and the one or more optimized data timeseries generated by the data platform services based on the raw data timeseries. The energy management application generates an ad hoc dashboard including a widget and associates the widget with the data point. The widget displays a graphical visualization of the plurality of timeseries associated with the data point and includes interactive user interface options for switching between the plurality of timeseries associated with the data point.
