    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) messages scheduling downlink data transmissions at the UE, where at least one DCI message schedules two or more downlink data transmissions. The UE may determine, based on the DCI messages, a first set of downlink resources associated with a first control resource set (CORESET) group and a second set of downlink resources associated with a second CORESET group. The UE may receive one or more first downlink data transmissions on the first set of downlink resources and one or more second downlink data transmissions on the second set of downlink resources. The UE may communicate using a first set of parameters associated with the first CORESET group and a second set of parameters associated with the second CORESET group.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A bandwidth part (BWP) configuration may be identified for a user equipment (UE), where the BWP configuration is part of a shared radio frequency spectrum band. In some cases, a base station may transmit a resource configuration for the BWP to the UE that indicates a set of subbands for the BWP and an indication of which subbands are available for the resource contention and possible subsequent communications. The UE and base station may determine a set of time-frequency resources for at least one downlink signal to be transmitted from the base station to the UE based on the BWP and available subbands. In some cases, the resource configurations for the BWP may include a reference signal configuration, a semi-persistent scheduling configuration, a control resource set configuration, or a combination thereof for the available subbands of the BWP.

    Abstract: In one aspect, an apparatus configured for wireless communication includes at least one processor; and a memory coupled to the at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to receive a control message indicating a reference signal offset information element (IE) for aperiodic reference signal offset determination and to receive a control channel transmission indicating a particular aperiodic reference signal transmission. The at least one processor is further configured to receive the particular aperiodic reference signal transmission based on a particular reference signal offset. The particular reference signal offset is determined based on the control channel transmission and a set of reference signal offset values, which are determined based on the reference signal offset IE and on one or more minimum scheduling conditions for cross-slot scheduling.     Abstract: Rate-matching and channel estimation are disclosed for new radio (NR) user equipments (UEs). In one aspect, a method of wireless communication includes obtaining coexistence information associated with neighboring wireless operations according to a legacy radio access technology (RAT) coexisting with a new radio (NR) RAT. The coexistence information includes a number of ports associated with reference signals of the legacy RAT, a frequency pattern of the reference signals of the legacy RAT, and a subframe type of corresponding subframes of the legacy RAT with transmission segments of the NR RAT. The method also includes determining one or more reference signal occasions of the legacy RAT coinciding with a shared downlink direction communication for the NR RAT and legacy RAT. The method further includes rate-matching reception of NR downlink transmissions within the shared downlink direction communication around the one or more reference signal occasions.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information within a control resource set (CORESET) configured with a wideband demodulation reference signal (DMRS) and including disjoint segments of resource blocks (RBs). The downlink control information may be located at least partially within a first segment of the disjoint segments and a second segment of the disjoint segments may be exclusive of the downlink control information. The downlink control information may include a grant of a set of resources for a downlink shared channel that overlaps with the CORESET. The UE may determine a rate matching operation for the wideband DMRS for a downlink shared channel for portions of the set of resources that overlap with the second segment of the disjoint segments, and receive the downlink shared channel on the set of resources according to the determined rate matching operation.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may obtain access to a base station by performing an initial access procedure within an initial access bandwidth that contains control channel resources. The UE may receive a configuration of a downlink bandwidth part (BWP) following the initial access procedure, and may determine that the downlink BWP fully contains the initial access bandwidth. In some cases, the UE may make the determination based on an indication sent from the base station. For instance, the indication may be provided as part of one or more control channel configurations transmitted to the UE. Based on determining that the downlink BWP fully contains the initial access bandwidth, the UE may monitor for control information in the downlink BWP using control channel resources in the downlink BWP that correspond to control channel resources used in the initial access bandwidth.

For example, a method for wireless communications at a wireless device may include determining a rate matching configuration for a first channel (e.g., an uplink channel) associated with a second channel (e.g., a downlink channel). A wireless device may determine rate matching resources of an uplink channel based on the rate matching configuration. The wireless device may determine rate matching resources of a downlink channel based on the rate matching configuration. The wireless device may transmit a first message on the uplink channel or the downlink channel, respectively, where the transmitted channel includes the rate matching resources. The wireless device may receive a reference signal on one or more resources of the downlink channel or the uplink channel, respectively, where the one or more resources of the respective channel correspond to the rate matching resources on the transmitted channel.
