Abstract:
A system, method, processor and client device for an instant messaging (IM) system including an IM server and a user device operationally coupled to the IM server. The IM server provides an availability indication element to the user device indicating if any one of a plurality agents are available for an IM communication session. The user device enables selection of the availability indication element to initiate the IM communication session. The IM server routes the IM communication session to the available agent if the availability indication is selected by the user. The user device may provide a user interface including the availability indication. The user interface may display an IM buddy indication associated with the plurality of agents. The availability indication may be displayed in the user interface overlapping with the IM buddy indication.
Abstract:
A method of post-processing in an audio decoder a signal reconstructed by time and frequency shaping (805, 807) of an excitation signal obtained from an estimated parameter in a first frequency band, said time and frequency shaping being effected at least on the basis of a time envelope and a received and decoded (801, 802) frequency envelope in a second frequency band. The method includes, after said shaping (805, 807), the steps of comparing the amplitude of said reconstructed signal to said received and decoded time envelope and, in the event of exceeding a threshold that is function of said time envelope, applying amplitude compression to said reconstructed signal. Also disclosed is a post-processing module adapted to execute the method, and an audio decoder.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the code conversion of digital signals, particularly voice signals, and in particular coding according to a second format from information obtained by carrying out a coding according to a first format. These first and second formats use LPC (linear predictive coding) short-term prediction models on digital signal sample blocks while using filters represented by respective LPC coefficients. The LPC coefficients of the second format are determined from an interpolation on the representative values of the LPC coefficients of at least the first format, between at least one given block and a preceding block. According to the invention, the interpolation (43), is dynamically effected while selecting (42), for each current block, at least one interpolation factor (α) among a preselection of factors according to a predetermined criterion such as a stationarity criterion of the digital signal (41).
Abstract:
This method of managing public identities in an information transmission network (11) of internet type implementing an SIP protocol for establishing data transmission links between said network and equipment for managing a group public identity (10) connected to this network is characterized in that it comprises: —a prior step of recording a group common public identity representative of at least one group of several individual public identities managed by said management equipment (10), at a public identities record management server (12); —a step of verifying a request to establish an incoming call, said request containing a numbering sequence, intended to verify whether said sequence corresponds to a recorded group public identity; and a step of sending said request to a contact address corresponding to the recorded group public identity.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of generating a pseudorandom string of terms belonging to a finite body K of cardinal q≧2 intended to be used in a cryptography procedure, said method comprising the iterative calculation of a system (Γ) of m polynomials with n variables belonging to the finite body K. According to the invention, the coefficients of these m polynomials are regenerated at each iteration. The invention also relates to pseudorandom string generator intended to implement this method.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method and a system for sound spatialization of a first set of not less than one of the audio channels encoded on of a number of frequency subbands (SBk) and decoded in a transformed domain (Fl, C, Fr, Sr, SI, Ife) into a second set of not less than two (Bl, Br) sound channels in the time domain, from modelling filters converted into a gain and a delay applicable in the transformed domain involving: filtering (A) through equalization, subband delay of the signal by applying at least one gain and one delay to generate from each of said encoded channels an equalized and delayed component; adding (B) a subset of equalized and delayed signals to create a number of filtered signals corresponding to not less than two; synthesizing (C) each of said filtered signals to obtain the second set of not less than two reproduction sound channels (Bl, Br) in the time domain.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a mobile telecommunication network comprising a plurality of terminals and an allocating entity adapted to allocate radio resources. One radio resource is associated with a transmission power. One terminal of the network is selected (21) based on at least one transmission power respectively associated with at least one radio resource previously allocated to the selected terminal. Thereafter, an available radio resource is allocated (22) to the selected terminal. Then, a transmission power is associated (23) with the radio resources previously allocated to the selected terminal, so as to reduce the total transmission power allocated to the selected terminal. The previous steps are repeated (24) as long as at least one available radio resource fulfills an allocation condition.
Abstract:
A system for classifying gestures executed by a user on a surface or in a graphical interface comprising a meta-classification module (13) which analyses kinematic and spatial characteristics of an arbitrary gesture undergoing execution and assigns a class of synchronous or asynchronous gestures to this gesture.
Abstract:
A method is provided for transforming a first transport level address into a second transport level address: the first address representing at least one digital data broadcasting service from at least one non-meshed broadcasting network and comprising data identifying the at least one digital data broadcasting service; the second address including a source field and/or a destination field in datagrams addressed to at least one communication network. The method includes the following steps: recovering data identifying the at least one digital data broadcasting service; inserting at least part of the identifying data in the second address of the datagrams.
