Abstract: At an electronic device with a touch screen display, display a user interface, where the user interface includes at least two windows of an application, a first icon displayed in association with a first window of the at least two windows, and a second icon at a location different from the at least two windows. While displaying the at least two windows, detect a gesture on the touch screen display. In response to detecting the gesture: in accordance with detecting the gesture on the first icon associated with the first window on the touch screen display, remove from the display the first window of the at least two displayed windows corresponding to the gesture; and in accordance with detecting the gesture on the second icon at the location different from the at least two windows of the application, display a new window of the application on the touch screen display.

The memory may include programs for, in response to receiving the first input, updating the visual appearance of the affordance to represent the second contact among the plurality of contacts, and the memory also may include programs for, after updating the visual appearance of the affordance, updating display of the affordance to an add contact affordance, where the add contact affordance was not displayed prior to detecting the second input corresponding to the selection of the object that is not associated with any contact. Further, the memory may include programs for displaying a user interface for adding a contact upon selection of the add contact affordance.

Abstract: A method includes displaying a first application view. A first input is detected, and an application view selection mode is entered for selecting one of concurrently open applications for display in a corresponding application view. An initial group of open application icons in a first predefined area and at least a portion of the first application view adjacent to the first predefined area are concurrently displayed. The initial group of open application icons corresponds to at least some of the concurrently open applications. A gesture is detected on a respective open application icon in the first predefined area, and a respective application view for a corresponding application is displayed without concurrently displaying an application view for any other application in the concurrently open applications. The open application icons in the first predefined area cease to be displayed, and the application view selection mode is exited.

Abstract: An electronic device with a display and a fingerprint sensor displays a fingerprint enrollment interface and detects, on the fingerprint sensor, a plurality of finger gestures performed with a finger. The device collects fingerprint information from the plurality of finger gestures performed with the finger. After collecting the fingerprint information, the device determines whether the collected fingerprint information is sufficient to enroll a fingerprint of the finger. When the collected fingerprint information for the finger is sufficient to enroll the fingerprint of the finger, the device enrolls the fingerprint of the finger with the device. When the collected fingerprint information for the finger is not sufficient to enroll the fingerprint of the finger, the device displays a message in the fingerprint enrollment interface prompting a user to perform one or more additional finger gestures on the fingerprint sensor with the finger.
