Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, for a plurality of carriers in a cross-carrier scheduling scenario, whether a quantity of downlink control information (DCI) sizes for a set of DCIs that the UE monitors satisfies a threshold, wherein the threshold is a per scheduling cell per scheduled cell threshold or a per scheduled cell threshold. The UE may selectively perform a DCI size alignment procedure to adjust a DCI size configuration based at least in part on whether the quantity of DCI sizes satisfies the threshold. The UE may monitor for the set of DCIs based at least in part on the DCI size configuration. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to transmitting and receiving an improved wake-up signal (WUS) by grouping user equipment (UE). A base station may group and assign a plurality of UEs into UE groups. The base station can then determine and transmit a WUS identifying certain UEs to wake-up for a paging occasion (PO). The UEs can listen for their corresponding WUS. After receiving the WUS, the UEs can wake-up for the PO. The base station can also determine the total amount of different UE groups. Within each group, there can be both legacy and updated UEs, wherein each legacy UE receives the same legacy WUS and the updated UEs receive a group-specific WUS. The base station can also balance the amount of legacy and updated UEs within each group based on different factors. Also, each WUS can be turned on or off, which can be carrier specific.

Abstract: Embodiments include systems, methods, and devices for radio resource allocation to support multicast services in a network, such as a Fifth Generation (5G) New Radio (NR)(5G NR), etc. In some embodiments, the methods may be performed by a processor of the base station. In some embodiments, the methods may be performed by a processor of a wireless device. Various embodiments may include configuring two or more downlink (DL) frequency resources for multicast communication within a carrier bandwidth. Various embodiments may include selecting a DL frequency resource for multicast communication of the two or more DL frequency resources for multicast communication to monitor for transmission of multicast data from a base station based at least in part on an active DL bandwidth part (BWP) of a wireless device.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a paging early indication (PEI) indicating whether at least one UE in a UE group or a UE sub-group including the UE is to be paged in a paging occasion. In some aspects, a sequence on which the PEI is based is a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH)-based sequence. In some aspects, the PEI is a sequence-based PEI and is received based at least in part on a sequence configuration configured on the UE. In some aspects, the PEI is a sequence-based PEI and is received based at least in part on a distributed resource block allocation associated with the sequence. The UE may selectively process a paging PDCCH associated with the paging occasion based at least in part on the PEI. Numerous other aspects are described.

Activation and release for group-common downlink channels with repetitions

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may activate or release one or more semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations for group-common downlink shared channels based on signaling from a base station. For example, the UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) from the base station that includes a feedback process field, where a value of the feedback process field indicates at least one of one or more SPS configurations is to be activated. In some examples, the base station may transmit the DCI in a group-common downlink control channel or in a UE-specific downlink control channel. Additionally, the base station may transmit a deactivation message to the UE to indicate for the UE to release one or more activated SPS configurations, where the deactivation message is transmitted in a group-common downlink control channel or a UE-specific downlink control channel.

Configuration for ungrouped wake up signal and group wake up signal

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to transmitting and receiving a group wake-up signal (WUS) in conjunction with an ungrouped WUS. A base station may group one or more UEs in a UE group, while other UEs may not be assigned to a UE group. The configuration of WUS resources and WUS sequences for grouped UEs and other UEs is a challenge. The base station may transmit, to one or more UEs in the UE group, a resource allocation of a group WUS resource within a set of WUS resources associated with a paging occasion that is assigned to the one or more UEs in the UE group. A UE, after receiving the resource allocation, may determine a location of the group WUS resource within the set of WUS resources. The UE may monitor for a group WUS at the determined location in the resource allocation of the group WUS resource.
