Abstract: This disclosure describes methods, devices, and systems for techniques related to wireless communications, and more particularly uplink transmissions on one or more of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). Generally, the described techniques support handling collisions between PUSCH repetitions and a PUCCH transmission. A user equipment (UE) may identify that uplink control information (UCI) is scheduled for transmission via an uplink control transmission that overlaps with multiple repetitions of an uplink data transmission. The UE may determine, for each of the multiple repetitions, a quantity of resources available for carrying multiplexed uplink control information, generate encoded UCI by encoding the UCI based on the quantity of resources available in each of the multiple repetitions, and multiplex the encoded UCI on at least a portion of the multiple repetitions based on the quantity of resources available in each of the multiple repetitions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first wireless device may establish a sidelink communications link with a second wireless device. The first wireless device may transmit, to the second wireless device, an indication of a capability to support a configuration for phase continuity between multiple physical channel transmissions of the sidelink communication link. The first wireless device may transmit one or more physical channel transmissions, which each may be associated with a set of one or more demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) to the second wireless device in accordance with the indicated configuration for phase continuity between the physical channel transmissions. The second wireless device may determine channel parameters associated with the one or more physical channel transmissions based on a joint channel estimation associated with the one or more sets of DMRSs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) having partially coherent antennas may be configured for simultaneous transmissions on groups of antennas. To achieve the benefits of simultaneous transmissions using groups of antenna that are partially coherent, without having the transmissions affect each other, the UE may apply a hybrid closed-loop multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) scheme among each antenna in the antenna groups where phase coherence can be maintained Following the hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme, the UE may apply a transparent diversity scheme across each antenna of the groups. Alternatively, the UE may first apply the transparent diversity scheme and next apply the hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme. By applying a hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme, and a transparent diversity scheme, the UE may fully realize its resources and contribute to an improved spatial diversity for a MIMO system.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE) are described. A UE may receive a control signal indicating a set of durations. A duration of the set of durations may be scheduled for uplink resources and additional resources including downlink resources, flexible resources, or both. The UE may further receive an indication of a slot format configuration permitting sidelink communications on the uplink resources during the duration scheduled for the uplink resources and the additional resources. Upon identifying that sidelink communications are permitted, the UE may transmit a sidelink transmission using the uplink resources and during the duration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to adjust a random access message that is transmitted to a base station in an asynchronous uplink transmission. The UE may use a constrained mapping of time and frequency resources for the random access message or transmit all portions of the message in a continuous transmission. The UE may also adjust the timing of the portions of the message. The base station may use a portion of the message, such as a preamble, to perform channel estimation for another portion of the message, such as a payload, to improve decoding of the transmitted message. Additionally, the UE may configure a waveform of the message to improve the continuous transmission of the message, for example by reducing interference between portions of the message.

Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods related to communicating UCI are provided. For example, a method of wireless communication may include receiving, by a user equipment (UE) from a base station (BS), scheduling information for transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) and uplink control information (UCI) during a time period. The UCI may include channel state information (CSI) or a scheduling request (SR). The method may include determining, by the UE, that the UCI and a HARQ-ACK codebook have a common priority, the HARQ-ACK being based on the HARQ-ACK codebook. The method may include transmitting, by the UE to the BS, the HARQ-ACK and the UCI during the time period based on the scheduling information, the transmitted UCI using resources determined based on a duration associated with the HARQ-ACK codebook, and the duration being based on the UCI and the HARQ-ACK codebook having the common priority.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to determining symbols over which to transmit repetitions for certain types of communications. A resource grant can include information for transmitting a number of repetitions over a collection of resources, such as a starting symbol over which to transmit communications, a number of symbols over which to transmit communications, and/or a nominal number of repetitions to transmit. Where time division multiplexing (TDM) communications are configured, a slot format indicator (SFI) can be semi-statically or dynamically configured and can indicate a communication direction of symbols within one or more slots as being uplink, downlink, or flexible. Thus, mapping uplink communications to the symbols may be based on additional considerations.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communications device may receive a downlink control message that supports indicating multiple modes for reporting hybrid automatic repeat request feedback, including a first mode for reporting hybrid automatic repeat request feedback and channel information according to a bundled configuration and a second mode for reporting hybrid automatic repeat request feedback according to a standalone configuration. The communications device may use the downlink control message to determine a mode for transmitting hybrid automatic repeat request feedback. The communications device may also transmit either bundled hybrid automatic repeat request feedback and channel information or standalone hybrid automatic repeat request according to the determined mode.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may receive signaling indicating a set of channel state information (CSI) report configurations for sidelink communications between the first device and a second device. The first device may then receive a request from the second device for a CSI report according to a first CSI report configuration from the set of CSI report configurations. The first device may perform channel measurements based on receiving the request and may generate the CSI report using the channel measurements according to the first CSI configuration. In some cases, the first device may determine whether to additionally generate the CSI report using one or more previous channel measurements based on whether the previous channel measurements were taken according to the same CSI report. The first device may then transmit the generated CSI report to the second device.
