Abstract:
Sterically hindered phenol and phosphite based compounds represented by structural formula II: and their use as antioxidants in a wide range of materials including, but not limited to, food, plastics, elastomers, composites and petroleum based products is disclosed herein.
Abstract:
Compounds are synthesized that contain nitrogen and hindered phenol functionalities of an aromatic amine and hindered phenol for use as oxidative stabilizers for organic materials, paints, lubricants, elastomers, and in other applications. The disclosed methods can efficiently synthesize target monomers and polymers without the use of expensive catalysts. Further, the disclosed methods can scale up to industrially useful quantities. In general, the methods provide an improved, highly efficient and economical process for the synthesis of macromonomers having nitrogen containing moiety and sterically hindered phenols and their corresponding polymers.
Abstract:
A method that sends ATM source identification and an ATM-TDM correlation tag from an ATM source gateway to a telephony signaling control network; and then receives at an ATM destination gateway the ATM source identification and the ATM-TDM correlation tag as sent from the telephony signaling control network; and then sends the ATM-TDM correlation tag from the ATM destination gateway to the ATM source gateway to establish a connection between the ATM destination gateway and the ATM source gateway.
Abstract:
A method for initiating a remote trace route includes establishing a communication session between a first endpoint and a second endpoint. The method also includes detecting at the first endpoint a quality impairment in a communication sent from the second endpoint. In response to detecting the quality impairment, the method includes sending a request from the first endpoint to the second endpoint for the second endpoint to initiate a trace route from the second endpoint to the first endpoint. Upon receiving the request at the second endpoint, the method includes initiating a trace route from the second endpoint to the first endpoint.
Abstract:
A two stage fully differential amplifier has been designed which works, in tandem with a TX-FIR, as a linear equalizer at low frequencies, not covered by the TX-FIR, and also acts as a linear amplifier at higher frequencies which are equalized by the TX-FIR. The amplifier as a frequency response which does not attenuate signals frequencies less than one twentieth of baud rate, creates gain peaking ion the region between one twentieth and one tenth of baud rate and maintains flat peak gain up to half of baud rate. Different aspects of the frequency response curve (such as dc gain, max gain and zero frequency) are completely programmable. Also, the differential amplifier has been designed from low power and process, voltage and temperature insensitive frequency response.
Abstract:
A communication scheme allows two Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) gateways that do not necessarily support a common set of Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) text terminal (TTY) modulations and which are communicating with dissimilar PSTN text terminal devices to negotiate a transition to text relay mode thus allowing those dissimilar PSTN text terminal devices to interwork with each other.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a router examines an incoming packet for a flow monitoring request. The router may examine every packet for the flow monitoring request, or preferably may only examine packets including a lifetime value indicating that the packet should be dropped and not forwarded or may only examine packets having a predetermined message format. When the flow monitoring request is included, the router performs detailed flow analysis or other monitoring according to the flow monitoring request.
Abstract:
The embodiment discloses an electronic blind and method for manufacturing electronic blind, for the whole or partial area light control management. An electronic blind that comprises a pair of substrates, polymer/liquid crystal composite material sandwiched between the pair of substrates, and a pair of electrodes formed on an opposing surface of the pair of substrates, one electrode of the pair of electrodes being patterned over one substrate in line form at intervals from one side to the other side of the substrate, other electrode of the pair of electrodes being formed over whole the surface of another substrate.
Abstract:
Methods for preparing microparticles having reduced residual solvent levels. Microparticles are contacted with a non-aqueous washing system to reduce the level of residual solvent in the microparticles. Preferred non-aqueous washing systems include 100% ethanol and a blend of ethanol and heptane. A solvent blend of a hardening solvent and a washing solvent can be used to harden and wash microparticles in a single step, thereby eliminating the need for a post-hardening wash step.
