Abstract:
An upper and lower traffic door support that may be installed in a first position for a first opening arc for the traffic door and installed in a second position to have an increased arc of travel.
Abstract:
An actuating mechanism for a pivotably mounted actuating arm, in particular for driving a flap of an item of furniture, wherein the actuating arm is acted upon by a spring device, and wherein an electric drive acts on the actuating arm via a transmission mechanism, and wherein the transmission ratio of angle of rotation (α) of the motor to angle of rotation of the actuating arm is varied over the angle of rotation range of the actuating arm by the transmission mechanism.
Abstract:
An improved mechanism for the operation of multiple panels door with increased insulating properties comprises a means that keeps the door panels away from the seal as they move up or down vertically and that brings the panels tightly against the seal when the panels have completed their vertical course. In the prior art, a multiple panel door follows the path of the guide rail where in this instant invention, when the panels have run their course along the path of the guide rails, they are moved away from the guide rails and against the door frame, which results in the door panels to apply pressure against an insulating strip.
Abstract:
In an arrangement for damping the pivot movement of a furniture component which is supported by a pivot joint on a stationary furniture part and which includes a damping element for slowing the movement of the furniture component near one of its end positions, the damping element includes a cylinder and piston unit forming part of a hinge, which includes a hinge housing in which a piston operating member is slidably supported and operatively connected to the piston, and a hinge lever extends between the movable component and the stationary furniture part in such a way that it engages the piston operating member in the hinge housing when the movable component approaches one of its end positions so as to slow down the movable component.
Abstract:
A hinge wing comprises a cup intended for being fixed in a hole of a furniture component, the wing being provided with a pair of expandable teeth arranged on opposite sides of the cup, said teeth being fixed on an eccentric lever of the wing, by rotating which the teeth are moved in an opposite direction to the direction of insertion of the cup into the respective receiving hole, the wing comprising for each tooth a cam that, upon rotation of the eccentric lever, causes the respective tooth to expand against a side wall of the receiving hole of the cup to fix the cup to the furniture component. Each cam is formed with a cam element of yieldable material interposed between a side wall of the cup and the respective tooth.
Abstract:
A hood-hinge assembly may include at least one structural member, a hinge linkage moveable between a closed position and an open position, and a hinge bracket disposed on the at least one structural member and supporting the hinge linkage. The hinge bracket being deformable in response to a force applied to the hinge linkage.
Abstract:
A method of feeding an animal in a feeding box. The method comprises at least the following steps, the steps a-c not necessarily taking place in the given sequence: a) identifying the animal in the feeding box, b) closing the feeding box, in such a way that access to the feeding box is impeded for an animal outside the feeding box, c) supplying feed to the animal in the feeding box in a chosen eating period of time. An installation for feeding an animal, which installation is provided with a frame that encloses at any rate at least partially a frame area. A neutral position means for positioning a passage means into one particular neutral position.
Abstract:
A hinge apparatus for a cover of an image forming apparatus has a hinge body with supporting brackets, movably inserted into a coupling hole positioned in a main body of the image forming apparatus, a hinge cam connected to the cover and pivotably connected to the supporting brackets, and a pressure device disposed at the hinge body to press the hinge cam. Accordingly, the hinge apparatus can be implemented with a simple and easy assembly operation, since it is not a complicated structural connection among the component parts of the hinge apparatus.

Abstract:
Parallel plane rotation hinge for a portable device. The hinge includes a pin defining a rotational axis and a cam having an inner cam track and an outer cam track. A bushing is rotationally fixed and axially slidable with respect to the pin, and includes inner and outer followers for respectively rotationally engaging the inner and outer cam tracks. A biasing member is disposed about the pin to bias the bushing against the cam.
