Abstract: A base station serving a user equipment (UE) may signal a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state change for more than one control resource set (CORESET). The base station has one or more processors configured to configure, for the UE, a group of control resource sets (CORESETs), the CORESET group including a plurality of CORESETs, signal, to the UE, the CORESET group including the plurality of CORESETs and indicate, to the UE, a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state change for one or more of the plurality of CORESETs in the CORESET group via a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE).

The UE may receive one or more transmission configuration indication (TCI) states corresponding to one or more downlink resources, receive a demodulated reference signal (DMRS) wherein the DMRS is quasi co-located (QCLed) with one or more channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) from multiple cells of a SFN and quasi co-location (QCL) information is included in the one or more TCI and determine a time and frequency offset corresponding to each of the multiple cells based on the CSI-RS.

Abstract: A base station is configured to receive channel state information (CSI) from a user equipment (UE). The base station transmits configuration information including one or more interference measurement resources (IMRs) allocated for measurement by the UE, receives a reference CSI report from the UE, receives a new CSI report including interference and noise power fluctuation feedback from the UE and selects a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for the UE based on at least the interference and noise power fluctuation feedback and the reference CSI report.

Abstract: An approach is described for a user equipment (UE), wherein the UE includes radio front end circuitry and processor circuitry coupled to the radio front end circuitry. The processor circuitry receives a reference signal from a source device via a radio link, wherein the reference signal is one of the synchronization signal block (SSB) signal or channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS). The processor circuitry measures a quality of the reference signal, and measures an evaluation time of the reference signal. The processor circuitry determines a first indicator of the radio link based on the quality of the reference signal, and determine a second indicator of the radio link based on the evaluation time of the reference signal. The processor circuitry then determines a status of a connection of the radio link based on the first indicator and the second indicator of the radio link, and generate a message based the status of the connection. The radio front end circuitry then transmits the message to the source device.

Abstract: Techniques for changing a Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) state by a user equipment (UE) operating in a wireless communications system are provided. The UE receives a first message including a TCI state change command from a network and determines, based on the first message, whether a time offset/frequency offset (TO/FO) and a reception (Rx) beam for a new TCI state are known by the UE. Based on the determination, the UE calculates a time delay of the UE to be prepared to receive a reference signal with the new TCI state, generates a second message indicating the time delay of the UE for the new TCI state, and transmits the second message to the network.

Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus is provided for performing carrier aggregation (CA) radio resource management (RRM). The system, method, and apparatus can receive a configuration message having configuration information from an access node; determine a measurement period for a secondary cell (SCell) and a cell identification delay based upon the configuration information; identify a new detectable cell on a secondary component carrier (SCC) as the SCell within the cell identification delay; perform a measurement for a CA operation within the measurement period; and report the measurement to the access node. The configuration message can be a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message. The measurement for the CA operation can be a measurement of the SCell on the SCC. The system, method, and apparatus can multiply a measurement control parameter by a factor less than five (5) to determine the measurement period and can multiply a measurement control parameter by a factor less than twenty (20) to determine the cell identification delay. The system, method, and apparatus can further perform an action with respect to the SCell in response to the measurement.
