In one aspect, a method can include receiving, by a UE, an RRC command that causes the UE to be configured to detect a TRS transmission of a plurality of TRS transmission bursts broadcast by an access node, disregarding, by the UE, one or more TRS transmission of the plurality of TRS transmission bursts that are received, by the UE, during processing of the received RRC command, and after processing, by the UE, of the received RRC command, decoding a TRS transmission of the plurality of TRS bursts that is received subsequent to completion of processing of the received RRC command for automatic gain control (AGC).

Abstract: Aspects are described for a user equipment (UE) comprising a first antenna panel and a second antenna panel to enable wireless communication with a first base station and a second base station respectively and a processor communicatively coupled to the first antenna panel and the second antenna panel. The processor is configured to determine that a total transmission power of the first antenna panel and the second antenna panel is greater than a threshold and determine a first back-off value for the first antenna panel and a second back-off value for the second antenna panel. The processor is further configured to generate a report that indicates the first back-off value and the second back-off value and transmit, via the first antenna panel or the second antenna panel, the report.

According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a terminal device receives from a network device a configuration concerning a high-speed mode of the terminal device, the terminal device determines a reduced evaluation period for beam management in the high-speed mode based on the configuration. The reduced evaluation period determined by the terminal device is shorter than an evaluation period in a non-high-speed mode. Then, the terminal device performs the beam management using the reduced evaluation period.

Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a timing of a random access channel (RACH) occasion (RO) used to transmit a contention free random access (CFRA) preamble triggered by the receipt of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order in a PDCCH are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) receives the PDCCH order and determines a timing offset value between the RO and a signal (e.g., a synchronization signal block (SSB), the PDCCH, a reference signal, etc.) to be used as a timing source. The UE also determines the arrival time of the signal to be used at the timing source. The UE then determines a time of the RO (during which the CFRA preamble will be transmitted) according to the arrival time and the timing offset value. Timing advance (TA) value(s) may also be accounted for as part of such a determination.

Abstract: Supporting transmission of multiple hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgments (HARQ-ACKS) within a single slot may include encoding a first HARQ-ACK and a second HARQ-ACK within the single slot for transmission to a base station. Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for enhanced direct secondary cell activation in a 5G wireless communications system. A user equipment (UE) can receive a Radio Resource Control (RRC) command from a 5G Node B (gNB) via a Primary Cell (PCell) or via a Primary Secondary Cell (PSCell) that includes configuration data for a Secondary Cell (SCell), where the SCell operates in Frequency Range 2 (FR2). The RRC command includes a first Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) state for the SCell, and the UE can activate the SCell for the UE based at least on the configuration data, concurrently with the first TCI state for receiving the PDCCH transmission. The UE can receive a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) transmission via a first antenna beam from the SCell, where the first antenna beam is based on the first TCI state.
