Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for paging subgrouping are described herein. A UE may transmit a UE capability message as part of a registration procedure. The UE capability message may include paging subgroup assignment capability information. The UE capability message may be received at a CN via NAS signaling. The CN (e.g., an AMF of the CN) may assign the UE to a paging subgroup, based at least in part on the UE capability message; store the assignment in UE context; and transmit paging subgroup assignment information to both the UE and a base station. The paging subgroup assignment information may include an assignment of the UE to a paging subgroup. The UE may monitor for a paging occasion associated with the paging subgroup assigned to the UE, in a 5GMM_IDLE mode or a 5GMM_CONNECTED mode with RRC_INACTIVE indication.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) device may reside in a state of dual connectivity with a master cell group (MCG) and a secondary cell group (SCG), wherein the radio access technologies of the MCG and the SCG are different. While in the dual connectivity state, the UE device may transition to a mode of reduced activity (e.g., processing and/or RF activity) relative to the secondary cell group (SCG) in order to save power, e.g., when traffic flow via the SCG is below a threshold, or when scheduling activity on the SCG is low. Various mechanisms may be employed to reduce activity, e.g., mechanisms such as reduction of beam monitoring, deactivation of secondary cells of the SCG, reduction of number of active antenna elements, employment of longer periods for periodic measurement and reporting processes, etc.

The wireless device may establish a first wireless link to a cellular network via a first cell group. The first cell group may be configured as a master cell group for the wireless device. The wireless device may establish a second wireless link to the cellular network via a second cell group. The second cell group may be configured as a secondary cell group for the wireless device. The wireless device may determine that link failure for the first wireless link has occurred. The wireless device may perform master cell group link failure recovery using the second wireless link based at least in part on the link failure for the first wireless link.

The UE receives a connection accept message from the base station, where the connection accept message includes one or more network capability indications corresponding to respective UE capability indications of the one or more UE capability indications. The UE performs communications with the base station according to the one or more network capability indications.

Abstract: Various radio resource management techniques may be implemented to reduce in-device coexistence issues and/or interference between a Uu link established between a mobile device (first UE) and a base station (first NB), and a sidelink/PC5 link established between the first UE and another mobile device (second UE), where the second UE is served by a different base station (second NB). The first UE may receive, from the first NB, measurement configuration information that enables/configures the first UE to report to the NB any indication(s) of issues caused by communications between the first UE and the second UE over the PC5 link affecting communications between the first UE and the first NB over the Uu link, and/or communications over the Uu link affecting communications over the PC5 link. The first NB may analyze the feedback from the first UE and may implement mitigation measures to reduce/eliminate any interference and/or in-device-coexistence issues.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for performing paging forwarding for remote wireless devices in a wireless communication system. A relay wireless device and a remote wireless device may establish a relay link. The relay wireless device may provide an indication of the relay link between the relay wireless device and the remote wireless device to a cellular base station. The relay wireless device may receive paging information for the remote wireless device from the cellular base station. The relay wireless device may provide the paging information to the remote wireless device via the relay link between the relay wireless device and the remote wireless device.
