Abstract:
An approach for supporting automated fault isolation and recovery is provided. A notification configuration option is transmitted to a browser interface utilized by a user associated with a customer network that is monitored by a service provider, wherein the user selects the notification configuration option to input notification information. The notification information is received, via the browser interface, from the customer. A notification message is received from a platform configured to create a workflow event in response to an alarm indicative of a fault within the customer network, wherein isolation and recovery of the fault is performed according to the workflow event, the notification message including information about the customer network during the fault isolation and recovery process. The notification message is transmitted in accordance with the stored notification information.
Abstract:
An architecture for an alternative reality game that provides a revenue stream to a game provider. A game objective and a narrative are defined as is a set of collectible game pieces. The collectible game piece comprises a unique identifier and a narrative element. The narrative element of at least some of the collectible game pieces relates to the narrative. A puzzle and a puzzle solution are assigned to the collectible game piece and the puzzle and the puzzle solution are associated with the unique identifier. The puzzle solution of at least some of the collectible game pieces relates to achievement of the game objective. A player purchases a random assortment of collectible game pieces and proffers proffers the unique identifier and a proffered puzzle solution to a game provider server. If the proffered solution is the puzzle solution, the game player is awarded points. A prize is offered to a winning player achieving the game objective and having the most points.
Abstract:
An approach for supporting automated fault isolation and recovery is provided. An alarm indicative of a fault within a customer network is received. An event within a workflow is created in response to the alarm, wherein a new trouble ticket is generated as part of the workflow. Communication with a trouble management system is performed to correlate the alarm with an existing trouble ticket. The new trouble ticket is associated with the existing trouble ticket.
Abstract:
A fence for use on farms comprising a wide steel band of ligth gauge provided in a roll of convenient length and weigth having high strength and visibility with an option to provide it with a colour finish.
Abstract:
A fastener clip includes a base plate and a pair of laterally offset arms extending from the base plate. The fastener clip is operative for insertion into a hole (slot) defined in a first engagement structure, such as a vehicle chassis. At least four wings extend from the arms. Each wing includes at least one engagement portion including a depressed portion formed on each wing, wherein each depressed portion is operative to engage a portion of the hole. According to one embodiment, each arm is coupled to at least one wing at a distal end of each arm (i.e., a long arm), so that each wing extends inwardly towards the base plate. According to an alternative embodiment, each arm (i.e., a short arm) is coupled to the at least one wing, so that each wing extends outwardly away from the base plate.
Abstract:
Enabling handling of incoming phone calls includes receiving an indication from one or more call recipients reflecting a desire to block future calls from a call source. A number of received indications reflecting a desire to block future calls from the call source is determined and compared to a threshold. An identifier of the call source is added to a list of call sources from which future calls are specially handled when the number of indications meets the threshold. Handling an incoming call from an undesired call source includes receiving an indication of a call placed to a call recipient. A source of the call is identified. Whether the identified call source is included in the list of call sources from which future calls are specially handled is determined. Special handling is applied to the call when the identified call source is included in the list.
Abstract:
The invention provides a system and method for reporting hazard and event information from a mobile unit, and using that information to warn a user of an event or future hazard with reference to the mobile unit's location and/or intended direction of travel. Users may wirelessly report events or hazards to a central server in an event center by sending data to the event center via a wireless communications network. Secondary information may be included, based on the selected event type, along with images, audio, and video of the event. The event center stores event information, including event locations based on the locations of the transmitting mobile units, and makes this information available to allow other users to respond to the hazard or event.
Abstract:
A non-volatile memory cell structure that is capable of holding two data bits. The structure includes a trench in a substrate with two sides of the trench being lined with a trapping material. The trench is filled with an oxide dielectric material and a control gate is formed over the oxide-filled trench. Source/drain regions are adjacent the trench sides with the trapping material. An energy barrier between the drain and source regions has two local high points that correspond to the trench corners. To read the device, sufficient gate voltage is applied to invert the channel and a sufficient drain voltage is applied to pull down the drain-side barrier. If charges of opposite polarity are trapped in the source-side trench corner, the source barrier will be significantly lowered so that current flows between source and drain under read conditions.
