Abstract: A sound pickup device includes a plurality of microphone elements, a sensitivity correcting unit that corrects a difference in sensitivity among the microphone elements by multiplying an output signal of each of the microphone elements by a gain. The sound pickup device also includes a target sound detecting unit that detects a voice of a speaker as a target sound, a sensitivity correction control unit that controls the gain based on a result of detecting the target sound, and a directivity synthesizing unit that picks up the target sound in a boosted manner using the output signals from the microphone elements of which difference in sensitivity is corrected. The sensitivity correction control unit updates the gain based on the output signals from the microphone elements if the voice of the speaker is detected and does not update the gain if the voice of the speaker is not detected.

Abstract: A decoder includes circuitry and memory. Using the memory, the circuitry, in a first operating mode, derives first motion vectors for a first block obtained by splitting a picture, using a first inter prediction scheme, and generates a prediction image corresponding to the first block, by referring to spatial gradients of luminance generated based on the first motion vectors. Using the memory, the circuitry, in a second operating mode, derives second motion vectors for a sub-block obtained by splitting a second block, using a second inter prediction scheme different from the first inter prediction scheme, the second block being obtained by splitting the picture, and generates a prediction image corresponding to the sub-block without referring to spatial gradients of luminance.

Abstract: A decoder that decodes a current block using a motion vector includes: a processor; and memory. Abstract: A DCI receiving unit receives downlink control information (DCI) indicative of allocation of an uplink (UL) signal of a first TTI (long TTI) or an uplink signal of a second TTI (sTTI) having a shorter TTI length than the first TTI; a transmission power determination unit determines transmission power of the uplink signal of the first TTI and transmission power of the uplink signal of the second TTI; and a transmitting unit transmits the uplink signal of the first TTI and the uplink signal of the second TTI by using the determined transmission power on the basis of the downlink control information. The transmission power determination unit reserves desired transmission power for the uplink signal of the second TTI in the first TTI in a case where decoding of the downlink control information indicative of allocation of the uplink signal of the second TTI to be transmitted within the first TTI (e.g., a subframe) is completed before start of transmission of the uplink signal of the first TTI.
