In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may select, in a first time slot, a set of resources to use for transmission to another UE; evaluate, in a second time slot, whether one or more resources of the set of resources is available; and transmit, based on the one or more resources of the set of resources being available, information to the other UE in a third time slot and using the set of resources, or reselect, based on the one or more resources of the set of resources being unavailable, another resource for transmission of the information to the other UE. Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure relate to a user equipment (UE) for wireless communication within a network. The UE receives, from a radio access network (RAN) entity, one of an uplink indication or an uplink port identification associated with an uplink port. The uplink indication and the uplink port identification are associated with an uplink message. The UE also maps one of the uplink indication to a sidelink indication associated with a sidelink message or the uplink port identification to a sidelink port identification associated with a sidelink port and the sidelink message. The UE further superposition codes the uplink message and the sidelink message into a broadcast transmission based on one of (A) the uplink indication and the sidelink indication, or (B) the uplink port and the sidelink port. In addition, the UE transmits, to the RAN entity, the broadcast transmission.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine whether a peer-to-peer (P2P) communication is to be relayed based at least in part on a location of the UE and a range requirement associated with the P2P communication; and transmit the P2P communication, wherein the P2P communication includes an indication of whether the P2P communication is to be relayed. In some aspects, a UE may receive the P2P communication; determine whether to relay the P2P communication based at least in part on the indication and at least one of: a location of the UE, or a UE identifier, included in the P2P communication, that identifies the UE and is associated with a request for the UE to relay the P2P communication; and selectively relay the P2P communication based at least in part on determining whether to relay the P2P communication.

Abstract: Aspects relate to resource selection by a first device within a wireless communication network. A second device may reserve resources for a first transmission and a retransmission to at least one third device over a direct link. If the strength of a signal received from the second device is greater than a threshold, the first device may detect feedback from the at least one third device to determine whether there will be a retransmission. If there will not be a retransmission, the first device may add to a candidate set at least one resource that overlaps with at least one of the resources previously reserved for the retransmission. If the signal strength is less than a threshold, the first device may, without detecting the feedback, add to a candidate set of resources at least one resource that overlaps with at least one of the resources previously reserved for the retransmission.

The techniques also include selecting, with the first sidelink-enabled device, a positioning type from the group may comprise of RTT-based positioning and SS-based positioning, based on the data. The techniques also include sending a message from the first sidelink-enabled device to a second sidelink-enabled device, where the message includes information indicative of the selected positioning type.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for using ranging signals to determine a position of a pedestrian user equipment (P-UE). In an aspect, a UE receives a plurality of ranging signals transmitted by one or more UEs, measures one or more properties of each of the plurality of ranging signals, and calculates an estimate of the position of the P-UE based on the one or more properties of each of the plurality of ranging signals. In an aspect, the P-UE transmits a plurality of ranging signals, receives a first message and a second message from first and second vehicle UEs (V-UEs), the first and second messages including first and second estimated positions of the P-UE and associated first and second confidences, and calculates an estimate of the position of the P-UE based on the first estimated position, the first confidence, the second estimated position, the second confidence, or a combination thereof.

In certain aspects, a method performed by a first vehicle comprises receiving an indication from a second vehicle comprising surrounding information that is indicative of whether a first unknown vehicle is detected by the second vehicle, wherein the first vehicle and the second vehicle are able to communicate wirelessly, and wherein the first unknown vehicle is unable to communicate wirelessly with the first and the second vehicles. The method further comprises controlling movement of the first vehicle based on the indication.

Abstract: A method of triggering a distance-based feedback transmission in a vehicle communication system includes determining an availability of the location information of a first electronic device, and transmitting sidelink control information that indicates the availability of the location information of the first electronic device. The sidelink control information includes a communication range indication or another parameter indicating the availability of the location information of the first electronic device. A receiving device receives the sidelink control information from the first electronic device, determines based on the sidelink control information that the location information of the first electronic device is unavailable, and transmits a distance-based feedback message to the first electronic device based at least in part on the sidelink control information.
