    Abstract: Techniques are provided for mitigating group delay errors across half duplex and full duplex operations. An example method of performing a round trip time message exchange includes performing the round trip time message exchange with a wireless node including receiving a downlink positioning reference signal and transmitting an uplink positioning reference signal, wherein the round trip time message exchange is associated with at least one duplex mode, and reporting a receive-transmit time difference measurement value based on the round trip time message exchange, wherein the reporting includes an indication of the at least one duplex mode.

    Abstract: A technique is performed at a user equipment (UE) for supporting one or more radio frequency (RF) sensing measurements. A reflected downlink signal is received, wherein the reflected downlink signal is transmitted as a downlink signal from a base station and reflected off of a target. An uplink signal is transmitted to be reflected off of the target and received by the base station as a reflected uplink signal. A UE receive-transmit (RX-TX) time difference is determined, representing a difference between a time at which the reflected downlink signal is received by the UE and a time at which the uplink signal is transmitted by the UE. A UE measured frequency offset is determined based on reception of the reflected downlink signal, the UE measured frequency offset comprising a Doppler shift component corresponding to a velocity of the target.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for joint sensing and data communication. A first sensing signal and a second sensing signal are transmitted in sequence, from a transmitter and using the same carrier frequency, for combined processing by a receiver. In some implementations, the sensing signals are radar signals. Data communication during an intervening time period between the first sensing signal and the second sensing signal involves the transmitter sending a data communication signal to another device or vice versa. Phase continuity between the first sensing signal and the second sensing signal can be maintained through performing radio frequency (RF) tuning on the transmitter after the transmitter transmits the data communication signal. The RF tuning may involve storing and restoring an operating state of a power amplifier in the transmitter. Alternatively, phase continuity can be maintained through preventing the transmitter from transmitting over an entirety of the intervening time period.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a network node may determine an estimated location of a user equipment (UE) that is served by a serving base station (BS). The network node may determine a dilution of precision (DOP) requirement with respect to the UE. The network node may determine at least one reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) that satisfies the DOP requirement with respect to the UE. The network node may send at least one configuration message to configure the at least one RIS to reflect positioning reference signals to or from the UE. In another aspect, a UE may determine a DOP requirement with respect to the UE. The UE may send at least one configuration message to select at least one RIS that satisfies the DOP requirement with respect to the UE to reflect positioning reference signals to or from the UE.
