    Abstract: A positioning reference assistance entity (PRAE) for providing positioning data to a network entity of a communication network having at least one transmission/reception point (TRP), the PRAE comprising: at least one sensor; at least one transceiver; at least one memory; and at least one processor, in signal communication with the at least one transceiver and the at least one memory, configured to: acquire physical sensory information, from the at least one sensor, of an environment in which the PRAE and the TRP are located; and transmit, via the at least one transceiver, the positioning data to the network entity based on the physical sensory information.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a wireless communication device may obtain information regarding communication between the set of communication devices and a non-terrestrial network (NTN) and communicate with the NTN. The wireless communication device may communicate with the NTN directly based on the wireless communication device being identified as one of one or more selected wireless communication devices for direct communication with the NTN.     Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enhance the navigation function of navigation/map applications or systems when GNSS signals are weak or sporadic. In one aspect, a UE monitors a position of the UE based on GNSS communication, where the position of the UE is monitored using at least one first map layer of a plurality of map layers associated with a map. The UE detects that the position of the UE corresponds to a predefined location when the GNSS communication is below a communication threshold. The UE switches to monitoring the position of the UE using at least one second map layer of the plurality of map layers upon detecting that the position of the UE corresponds to the predefined location, where the at least one second map layer is associated with the predefined location.

    Abstract: In an aspect, a first network node may receive, from a second network node, one or more reference signals transmitted using one or more first polarizations known to the first network node, wherein the one or more reference signals are received having one or more second polarizations. The first network node may determine whether the one or more reference signals followed a line-of-sight (LOS) path between the first network node and the second network node based on a comparison of signal characteristics related to the one or more first polarizations and signal characteristics related to the one or more second polarizations.

    Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a UE to improve (e.g., reduce) the convergence time for vision-aided positioning by enabling the UE to use images embedded with location information. In one aspect, a UE receives, from a reference device, a server, or a map, a list of visual features and a location for each visual feature in the list of visual features. The UE identifies at least one visual feature in an area via at least one camera, where the at least one visual feature is included in the list of visual features, where the area is within a threshold distance of the UE. The UE estimates a position of the UE based on the identified at least one visual feature in the area and the location corresponding to the at least one visual feature.

    Abstract: Method and apparatus to determine a line-of-sight (LOS) path based at least on polarization characteristics. The apparatus determines a polarization used by a transmitter for at least one RS. The apparatus receives the at least one RS with a first received polarization in a first configuration and a second received polarization in a second configuration that is different from the first configuration. The apparatus measures polarization characteristics of the first received polarization and the second received polarization. The apparatus determines whether the at least one RS was received in a LOS path from the transmitter based on the measured polarization characteristics and expected received polarization characteristics, wherein the expected received polarization characteristics are based on the determined polarization used by the transmitter.
