Abstract: A method of transmitting and receiving a signal, by a base station (BS), in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes determining whether each of at least one terminal connected to the BS supports nonlinear precoding (NLP) or a modulo operation, determining a plurality of signals that are overlapping-transmitted in a time-frequency resource region from among a control signal, a reference signal (RS), and a data signal transmitted from the BS, based on whether the at least one terminal supports the NLP or the modulo operation, and transmitting, to each of the at least one terminal, information about whether the NLP or the modulo operation is performed in a resource where the plurality of signals are transmitted.

A method, performed by a base station, includes identifying configuration information for single carrier signal transmission, transmitting the single carrier signal transmission configuration information to a terminal, transmitting control information scheduling data transmission, and transmitting data to the terminal using a single carrier according to the single carrier signal transmission configuration information and the control information. The single carrier signal transmission configuration information comprises at least one of offset or comb information indicating a resource to which the terminal can be scheduled, frequency resource information of a bandwidth part, or sub-carrier spacing information.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to notifying a terminal of subcarrier spacing(s) used in a random access procedure. A master information block (MIB) includes information associated with a first subcarrier spacing used for a system information block (SIB) and a random access response. The SIB includes information associated with a second subcarrier spacing used for a physical random access channel (PRACH) on which a random access preamble is transmitted. A terminal transmits the random access preamble to a base station based on the second subcarrier spacing and receives, from the base station, a random access response to the random access preamble based on the first subcarrier spacing.
