Abstract:
A data communication apparatus automatically sets a signal send condition in accordance with an actual communication status. If the data communication apparatus accommodates a plurality of lines, a call is made from a first line to a second line and a predetermined signal is sent from the first line to the second line, and based on the received information, a signal send condition contained therein is determined and registered.
Abstract:
An image communication apparatus comprises a connection unit for connecting an external terminal, an image communication unit for conducting image communication, a switching unit for selectively connecting a line to said connection unit and said image communication unit, a first detection unit for detecting a calling signal from said line, a second detection unit for detecting a signal relating to the image communication, a third detection unit for detecting a signal relating to data communication, and a control unit for controlling said switching unit in response to the detection by said first, second and third detection units.
Abstract:
A data communication apparatus receives data transmitted from a transmission side in one of a plurality of transmission modes and determines which of the plurality of transmission modes was used to transmit the received data. The apparatus also discriminates a condition on which information related to the received data should be transmitted back to the transmission side, the condition varying in accordance with which transmission mode was determined. Then information corresponding to reception data of a plurality of receptions is transmitted collectively back on the basis of the discriminated condition.
Abstract:
In a thermal transfer recording apparatus, an image is recorded on a recording medium by transferring ink from an ink sheet. The apparatus includes a holder for the ink sheet, conveyors for the ink sheet and recording medium, and an ink sheet detector. When the detector determines that the ink sheet is loaded into the holder, the ink sheet is conveyed so as to take up the slack in the ink sheet until the ink sheet reaches a predetermined speed.
Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus includes an image forming unit for forming a received image onto a sheet, a judging unit for judging an attribute of the received image, a plurality of bins each for stacking the sheet on which the image was formed by the image forming unit, a selecting unit for selecting the bin in which the sheet formed with the input image should be stacked, a plurality of sheet detecting units provided for the plurality of bins, and a display unit for displaying first information indicative of the bin, second information indicative of the attribute, and third information indicative of a detection result of the sheet detecting unit.
Abstract:
An image communication apparatus and a method therefor are operable in an error correction communication mode so as to reduce the usage of a data bus. The apparatus receives image data and outputs it in byte units, and includes an image memory for storing at least one page of image data. The apparatus further includes a controller for inputting the image data from the receiver and for directly storing the input image data into the image memory without using a buffer memory.
Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus which can resend an error page et seq. when a communication error occurs, wherein a sender notifies a receiver in a pre-procedure that the sender can resend an error page et seq. The receiver does not record data of an error page, or refuses reception except for error-resending from the sender disconnected due to the error for a predetermined period of time. The apparatus has a controller for notifying the receiver that resending of an error page et seq. is performed.
Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus includes a memory and a printer. The memory stores images which are sequentially received from a first page. The printer sequentially reads out the images stored in the memory from the last page to record the read out images on sheets when the images for one communication can be stored in the memory. Also, the printer sequentially reads out the images stored in the memory from the first page and records the read out images on sheets to eject the recorded sheets with a faceup state when the images for one communication can not be stored in the memory.
Abstract:
In a thermal transfer recording apparatus, a recording medium of a continuous web form and an ink sheet are transported with respect to each other. During image recording, the amounts by which the recording medium and ink sheet are transported satisfy a first relationship. After image recording, the recording medium is transported for cutting, and the recording medium and ink sheet are each transported by predetermined amounts which satisfy another relationship different from the first.
Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus having a multi-output recording mode for producing a plurality of sets of output record of the received data. The multi-output recording mode is selectively prohibited when the number of the recording paper sheets remaining in the facsimile apparatus has become small, so that as many communications as possible can be recorded. The facsimile apparatus has a recognizing device for recognizing the number of recording sheets remaining therein, and a control unit which performs such a control that, when the number of the sheets recognized by the recognizing device has come down below a predetermined value, only one set of the output record is produced, even when a communication designated for the multi-output recording has been selected. An indication circuit is provided to enable indication of the fact that, although multi-output recording was planned initially, only one set of output record has been produced due to a shortage of the recording sheets. The indication is added to the received image data or to the data to be output as the communication result report.
