Abstract:
An active matrix liquid crystal display device includes a thin film transistor substrate having a thin film transistor, an opposing substrate having an opposing electrode, a liquid crystal element interposed between the thin film transistor substrate and the opposing substrate, a protective film layer, a pixel electrode and a black matrix. By forming a protective film layer between the pixel electrodes and the black matrix, there is no negative influence on image quality even when the specific resistance of the black matrix is low. Also, Na contamination, and the like, from the dyes, and the like, used for the light-blocking material can be prevented. At this time, by etching the protective film layer using the pattern of the black matrix as a mask, one sheet is enough for the masks necessary for elimination of the protective film on the pixel electrode section. By this, it becomes possible to stop the increase of number of processes to a minimum. Furthermore, by performing etching of the protective film layer by anisotropic etching, rubbing defects caused by the processed shape of the black matrix can also be prevented.
Abstract:
In manufacturing of welding wires, rough surfaces are formed on the product wires to ensure retention of applied lubricants for satisfactory feeding performance. For this purpose, steps of dry hole die drawing with an application of powder lubricants, roller dies drawing, and wet hole die drawing are executed, at least in a part of a sequence of wire drawing processes. As a result of denting of the powder lubricants on the surfaces of the wires during the dry hole die drawing, rough surfaces are formed on the drawn wires.
Abstract:
An upright piano includes a fall-board hinged to a upper sill and connected through a pair of flexible coupling to side arms, and each of the flexible couplings has a rotary damper embedded in the side arm and an Oldham's coupling connected between the fall-board and the rotary damper so that the Oldham's couplings take up misalignment between the rotational axis of the fall-board and the rotational axes of the rotary dampers.
Abstract:
A weather strip to be attached to sides of a foldable, detachable, movable roof of a vehicle, the weather strip composed of an extrusion portion and a mold portion. The extrusion portion has a base, a hollow seal, the hollow seal having an upper portion directing toward an outside of a vehicle so as to form a convex portion for contacting an upper portion of a door glass, a bridge portion provided in the hollow seal by halving hollow portion of the hollow seal vertically, the bridge portion being constricted at an inner intermediate portion thereof, and a seal lip projecting from a lower portion of the hollow seal for elastically contacting the door glass, the seal lip directing outward of the vehicle. The mold portion has the bridge portion and the seal lip which are the same as those of the extrusion portion. Accordingly, the sealing property and external appearance of the transfer portion and the mold portion can be improved. Further, one of the mold portions is detachable or movable and is guided in a detachable direction or moving direction. The mold portions have engaging portions which are engaged with and complement each other at contacting end surfaces thereof when mounted on another mold portions, and wherein the engaging portions have saw-toothed convex and concave portions so as to maintain an effective sealing repulsive force.

Abstract:
A sealing strip for use on a convertible to seal the joint between the front pillar and the window glass of a front door integrally comprising: an extruded section having a longitudinal groove, a hollow upper sealing part formed on one side of the groove, a hollow lower sealing part formed on the other side of the groove, and a bridge interconnecting the upper sealing part and the lower sealing part; a molded section continuous with the extruded section, having an external shape substantially the same as that of the extruded section, and integrally having a longitudinal center groove, a hollow part having a hollow upper sealing part formed on one side of the center groove, and a hollow lower sealing part formed on the other side of the center groove and provided with a lip, and a bridge formed at least in a range in the hollow part so as to interconnect a portion of the upper sealing part and a corresponding portion of the lower sealing part.
Abstract:
There is provided a method and apparatus for manufacturing organic fertilizers by fermentation of a mixture of livestock excrement with cellulose containing organic materials, said mixture containing thermophilic and aerobic microorganisms, which method comprises adjusting moisture content of said mixture to 25-75 wt %, cutting and kneading said mixture until the temperature thereof goes up to 40.degree. C.-90.degree. C. by the elevated pressure and friction caused by said cutting and kneading, thereby causing thermophilic organisms to be activated, followed by pulverizing the thus-treated mixture while contacting it with air, thereby causing the aerobic organisms to be activated.
Abstract:
The ash melting furnace disposes the combustion ash resulted from incineration of municipal or other sorts of waste by melting it utilizing as the main fuel the unburnt carbon contained in the ash itself. The ash melting furnace includes a stationary plasma torch which uses air for the working gas, and which is so placed facing the combustion ash heaped up within the furnace as to project its hot gas jet thereon. The furnace further includes a torch unit controller that actuates the plasma torch to secondarily heat and melt the ash.

Preparation processes of the quinolone derivatives and antibacterial agents containing the same are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A hearth arrangement for a furnace which melts refuses carried on the hearth arrangement comprises a plurality of hearth blocks arranged like a stair. The heart blocks are inclined stepwise in a refuse carrying direction and each hearth block has a width direction perpendicular to the refuse carrying direction. Each hearth block is divided into two block elements in the width direction of the hearth block and the two block elements are joined to each other by springs which exerts a biasing force on the block elements in the width direction of the hearth block. A clearance is formed between each two adjacent hearth blocks to tolerate heat expansion of the hearth blocks. Each block has a protuberance extending over a next hearth block located in the ash carrying direction such that the ash does not flow into the clearance between the hearth blocks. A convex portion is formed on a contacting plane of one block element and a concave portion is formed in a contacting plane of the other block element such that the convex portion engages with the concave portion to ensure a tight engagement of two block elements.
