Abstract: A method for transmitting and receiving a broadcast signal is disclosed. The method for transmitting a broadcast signal, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: performing delivery layer processing on broadcast service data and signaling information about the broadcast service data; performing UDP/IP encapsulating on the broadcast service data and the signaling information about the broadcast service data; and performing physical layer processing on the broadcast service data and the signaling information about the broadcast service data.

The apparatus includes a receiver to receive service guide fragments, the service guide fragments including a content fragment describing content data in broadcast services, the content fragment including a content element, the content element including an identification attribute of the content fragment, and a version attribute of the content fragment, the content fragment further including a PrivateExt element which is used for content level extensions, the PrivateExt element including a component element describing components in the content data, the component element including an audio component element, a video component element, and a closed caption component element, the audio component element describing a role of an audio component in the content data, the video component element describing a role of a video component in the content data, and the closed caption component element describing a role of a closed caption component in the content data; and a decoder to decode the service guide fragments, and a displayer to display service guide information on a screen. Further, the service guide information is represented based on timeline information, channel information for the broadcast services, and program information for the content data, and the channel information is displayed with capability information.

Abstract: A device with one or more processors for processing broadcast signals, the device including a depacketizing processor for extracting one or more delivery objects from one or more Layered Coding Transport (LCT) packets of the broadcast signals based on signaling information including mapping information, wherein the one or more LCT packet are used to transport the one or more delivery objects including service data for one or more broadcast services of the broadcast signals, wherein the one or more delivery object are carried in one or more transport sessions, wherein each LCT packet includes a header having a Transport Object Identifier (TOI) identifying a delivery object being carried in the each LCT packet, wherein the mapping information is used to establish a one-to-one mapping between the TOI and a uniform resource locator (URL) for the delivery object, wherein the one or more LCT packets and the signaling information are transmitted separately, wherein the header of each LCT packet further includes type information indicating whether a type of the delivery object being carried in the each LCT packet is a media segment type or an initialization segment type and a decoding processor for decoding the service data for the broadcast service.
