    Abstract: A printing apparatus includes: a printer head that prints, in accordance with a movement of the printing apparatus by a user within a printing region of a printing medium, a print-target image on the printing medium; a plurality of sensors each capable of sensing a displacement of the printing apparatus; and a processor that determines, based on the displacement sensed by the sensor, a position of the printing apparatus relative to the printing region, and switches, among the plurality of sensors, a sensing state of a sensor that is sensing the displacement and a sensing state of a sensor that is not sensing the displacement, in accordance with the determined position of the printing apparatus.

    Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a thermal head and a processor. The thermal head prints an image on lines in a medium. The thermal head includes heat-generating elements to generate heat when a voltage is applied thereto in an application time, and the thermal head is controlled to sequentially on print each line. The processor is configured to: determine a specific line among lines based on printing data for printing lines, the specific line being a line estimated to have a possibility of sticking; and adjust the application time of an adjustment target line so as to be shorter than a reference application time, the adjustment target line having at least one line among lines, the at least one line being a line which is to be printed immediately before the specific line, the reference application time being set based on a temperature of the thermal head.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display, a first processor including a first interface that receives data from an external apparatus, and a second processor including a second interface that receives data from an external apparatus. The first processor transfers, to the display, data corresponding to first content to be displayed on the display, and the second processor transfers, to the display, data corresponding to second content to be displayed on the display. A processing power of the second processor is lower than a processing power of the first processor, and a data transfer rate of the first interface is faster than a data transfer rate of the second interface. The first processor and the second processor control a status of an image corresponding to the first and second content on the display.

    Abstract: A simulation method includes setting a density of a conversion layer which is formed in a medium which has a thermal expansion layer which expands with heat and converts electromagnetic waves into heat, deriving a temperature of the conversion layer which is obtained in a case where the conversion layer which has the set density is irradiated with the electromagnetic waves, executing a simulation relating to heat conduction which takes place in a direction along a surface of the medium in the medium on the basis of a condition which is defined in accordance with the medium and correcting the derived temperature on the basis of a result of execution of the simulation, and deriving an expansion height up to which the medium expands in a case where the medium is heated at the corrected temperature.

    Abstract: A waste ink case includes a container. The container houses an ink absorber that absorbs ink. The container includes an ink introducing port, an exhaust vent, and a partition wall. Through the ink introducing port, the ink is introduced from a print head into the container. Through the exhaust vent, air in the container is exhausted. The partition wall acts as an obstruction between the ink introducing port and the exhaust vent. The ink absorber is provided along a ventilation passage. The ventilation passage is from the ink introducing port to the exhaust vent, detouring around the partition wall.
