摘要: An apparatus for producing hydrogen in a steam methane reformer with reduced carbon emissions, the apparatus comprising: a first heat exchanger configured to heat a feed stream comprising methane to produce a heated feed stream that is at a temperature above 500° C.; a reaction zone in fluid communication with the first heat exchanger, wherein the reaction zone is configured to receive the heated feed stream under conditions effective for catalytically cracking the heated feed stream and catalytically crack the heated feed stream to produce a reformed stream, wherein the reformed stream comprises hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and unreacted methane; a shift conversion unit in fluid communication with the reaction zone, wherein the shift conversion unit is configured to receive the reformed stream in the presence of steam and produce a shifted gas stream comprising hydrogen and carbon dioxide; and a hydrogen purification unit configured to receive the shifted gas stream and purify the shifted gas stream to produce a hydrogen product stream and a tail gas; wherein the conditions effective for catalytically cracking the heated feed stream comprise providing heat to the reaction zone via combustion of a fuel and a hydrogen fuel stream in presence of an oxidizer, wherein the fuel comprises ammonia, wherein a flue gas is produced by the combustion of the fuel and the hydrogen fuel stream.

摘要: Disclosed are vapor delivery systems comprise a housing body defining an interior volume therein, a plurality of flow resistors for receiving a carrier gas, to generate gas distribution lines in the interior volume, at least two surfaces having the solid or liquid precursor applied thereto to allow passage of the carrier gas thereover along the gas distribution lines to mix with a solid or liquid precursor vapor, a gas-collecting device downstream of the gas distribution lines to deliver a mixture of the carrier gas and the solid or liquid precursor vapor out of the system, and a flow controller fluidically connected to a carrier gas source to control a feed flow rate of the carrier gas feeding into the interior volume. A gas distribution flow rate along each gas distribution line is controlled by the feed flow rate of the carrier gas feeding into the interior volume.

摘要: A cryogen storage vessel at an installation is filled with liquid cryogen from a liquid cryogen storage tank that has a pressure lower than that of the vessel. After headspaces of the vessel and tank are placed in fluid communication with another via a gas transfer vessel and are pressure-balanced, a pump in a liquid transfer line connected between the tank and the vessel is operated to transfer amounts of liquid cryogen from the tank to the vessel via the liquid transfer line and pump as amounts of gaseous cryogen are transferred, through displacement by the pumped cryogenic liquid, from the vessel to the tank. Following filling, the tank is disconnected and then driven to another location to repeat the filling process with a second vessel that is at a different location.

摘要: An air separation apparatus and process, which produces gaseous oxygen and/or nitrogen products at an elevated pressure through internal compression of respective liquid products, are disclosed. Split-core main heat exchangers are employed to warm up product streams generated in an air rectification unit against 1) a main feed air stream in the low-pressure heat exchanger and 2) at least one boosted pressure air stream in the high-pressure exchanger. Because the boosted pressure air stream is at a higher pressure and temperature than the main feed air stream, after separate heat exchange in the split main heat exchangers, the subsidiary waste nitrogen stream exiting the high-pressure heat exchanger is also warmer than the subsidiary waste nitrogen stream exiting the low-pressure heat exchanger. The warmer waste nitrogen stream is fed into the air purification unit for regeneration purposes and the cooler waste nitrogen stream is introduced into the nitrogen water tower to perform cooling duty. The two subsidiary waste nitrogen streams are also connected on the warm side of the main heat exchangers to allow flexible distribution of the flow.
